My wife is pregnant and her doctor is at Mt Sinai so we spend a lot of time on that block. I’ve always found this place friendly and well stocked. Granted I’ve only had breakfast sandwiches, coffee, and other random stuff from this shop.
Also, they have a beautiful guard cat named Mimi (picture attached).

Very expensive compared to other Delis, not nearly as good food as the average daily. Store looks old. Still doing 10 dollar minimums on card for some reason. They take advantage of being the only deli around

Had a perfectly serviceable omelet for breakfast here. Coffee was fine. It's bigger on the inside than I thought initially and I was able to site and eat my breakfast. Overall, a perfectly fine place.

The best market in NYC!!!!! The customer service was unmatched ? ? ? ?
I used to come here all the time, but tonight is THEE LAST TIME! I walked in to place an order, and the usual short/ petite guy was eating his sandwich, so the rude older guy was there. He did not even look my way or take my order until other people started to walk in. It’s almost as if he didn’t want to service me. He was too busy watching a futbol game on the tv. I placed my order, then the other guy that walked in AFTER me placed his. Other people started to come in (Mount Sinai employees mainly). He took their orders and promptly made their food. Everyone that came AFTER me got their food. He even gave a guy two cheeseburgers, one with fries, one by itself. Mind you I see no burger on the grill. And now the older guy is whispering, in spanish to the other short guy, and I knew they were talking about me, because they kept looking my way, so I said forget it, and I walked out. Because I refuse to spend my money in an establishment, after being disrespected.
