What a find ! Reasonably priced, wonderful udon in a calming atmosphere with attentive, personable servers. We had the ja-ja cold ramen (omg nomnomnom) and the hot toriten udon. We had to wait about 20 minutes for a table around 7pm on a sunday, but we thought the wait was totally worth it and will definitely return.
Handmade udon noodles with amazing texture—the kani ankake is the standout dish, and the yaki nasu is unique and definitely worth a try. Reservations are a must well in advance; there's always a line.
I love their Jaru Udon — the cold noodles really hit the spot. I also tried the karaage and the mackerel sushi, both were pretty good. Overall, not a bad spot at all. Solid option if you’re craving some Japanese comfort food.
