Genuine Japanese Sushi. Excellent. Very reasonably priced too
Don't miss out on this place if you want excellent sushi and Japanese cuisine. I just had the scallop bento box, with california rolls, shrimp shumai and rice. Yummy!! Ice cream included too!

Lovely local place with fresh sushi & sashimi. We had the bento boxes which were good value and great service from one of the friendly ladies. Highly recommend!

Restaurantji Recommends
This restaurant is NOT the same as the Raku that’s known for their udon. We only realised after we’d waited half an hour for our table and were given the menu.
The food was ok, nothing special. The bento box was good value for money, but there are definitely better options in the city for sushi. If you live in the neighbourhood, I can understand enjoying having this restaurant as your local, but as a tourist, it was a waste of a meal.
The biggest issue we had was that we were seated by the back of the restaurant where the toilet was located and we kept getting unpleasant smells every time the bathroom door opened.

Stopped here for lunch before visiting the American Museum of Natural History nearby. Great place for lunch! Sashimi was fresh and in thick slices, food was very flavourful, service was warm and hospitable.

I kinda like their hole in wall basement ambiance. Service pretty good, too.
Food is ok and what you wud expect from a typical authentic fast food Japanese joint, nothing fancy just cheap. Don’t expect amazing ramen because a lot of NYC ramen are specialized overpriced food.
But wat I’m really disappointed is that they don’t have Kaedama (Extra noodles) for their ramen and California Rolls with NOT even fake crab sticks? Blasphemy! I just got a big chunk of guac for each roll. I seriously doubt their authenticity now. Questionable if I return.
