I have lived in Manhattan most of my life and dine out frequently. Rampoldi is one of the best restaurants in Manhattan and my current favorite. The food is always outstanding, especially the Duck Confit, Vitello Tonnato, and Dover Sole. The ambience is lovely and special and the service is impeccable. I also enjoy the delectable desserts, the house made Gelato, & Lavender glace with pistachios, the Grand Marnier Souffle, and the Tiramisu. The Bar is very beautiful and a relaxing place to unwind. I cannot say enough good things about this incredible restaurant.....Everything is a cut above. I will be back again and again.
My only complaint is that, during a nice, quiet dinner, the host seated four very loud and noisy patrons next to us, despite having many other tables available throughout the restaurant. This inconsiderate gesture was very disruptive to what could have been an enjoyable conversation with my guest.
Great food and great service and thoroughly enjoyed my dinner there. This place is a hidden gem on the upper west side.
Exceptionally quiet as there were only 3 tables filled at 7:00 on a Tuesday with nothng happening at Lincoln Center. The renovation of the other half of the old Atlantic Grill is absolutely stunning. The bar is maginicent, the tables are well spaced, and the staff was highy attentative. The menu is very creative and a good mix of Italian and French influences. Everything we had was delicious and both of us had trouble picking dishes as we were interested in many dishes.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Rampoldi, a sophisticated French-Italian restaurant the restaurant offers both charm and refinement — perfect for a relaxed evening out or a special occasion. What we order : Salmon Tartare Beautiful plated. The tartare had a clean, delicate flavor with just the right amount of citrus and seasoning — a light and elegant way to start the meal. Burrata Creamy and rich. Margarita Pizza A classic done right. Thin, slightly crispy crust. 🍷 Atmosphere & Service: The ambiance at Rampoldi is refined yet welcoming, with warm lighting, attentive service, and a touch of old-world glamour. Don't forget the glass of wine ! Rampoldi delivers on both flavor and presentation, with standout ingredients and a refined menu. Whether you're a fan of French finesse or Italian soul food, this spot offers the best of both worlds. I'd absolutely return .
Rampoldi is outstanding, one of the best restaurants near Lincoln Center. The staff is attentive, and every time I go there, I am more impressed with the absolutely exquisite food.
Restaurant was lovely and not too noisy. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I was a little disappointed in the dessert, it was just a brownie with ice cream, lime you could get anywhere- not really special Olives were amazing!
I don't even know where to start on this mess. They had **two waitresses for the whole restaurant** on a Saturday night. The poor staff all looked totally stressed out and running around like crazy. They WERE well-staffed enough to have someone there taking photos with her phone of carpaccio being made tableside. Took our drink orders, brought our drinks about 25 minutes later - by the time we got our food, it was 50+ minutes into our reservation. Took our glasses from our (empty) drinks never asked if we wanted another round. Pasta was dried out from sitting, scallops were lukewarm (from sitting?). Water glasses sat empty. Manager came over at 6:45 when we'd been sitting with empty plates, empty water glasses and no drinks to ask if everything went well. We told him no and explained. He and the waitress both asked if the problem was that they didn't get us out in time for our show. Lol no. They comped our one round of drinks then they canceled my reservation on OpenTable (I assume) so I couldn't leave this review. Won't be back. Ever.
The food was very good but we were disappointed by the service. The restaurant was not busy at all. We were a group of 8. Our server did not bring one of our group their second course until very late (I had to ask about it after everyone else had nearly finished eating). Did not fill water. Forget to bring us more bread when asked of we wanted more and we said yes. Again great kitchen, but we didn't get the expected level of service out front. Left full tip hoping some gets to the kitchen staff.
Food was good, ambience was very nice although our table was in an inconvenient location. The restaurant seemed understaffed, and therefore the service was not consistent with the cost. The Dover sole was very good, but seemed overpriced.

Food outstanding. Octopus carpaccio truly inspired. Service bit uneven. Server brought wrong bottle of wine to table. Didn't seem familiar with wine list. Had to be told numerous times bottle that was ordered. Red lights of bar provide odd ambience. Had after theater reservation, arrived on time, but felt rushed to finish. Server actually asked during entree, kitchen trying to close, do you want a desert? All in all the food overcame these hiccups. I would return for the Dover sole, alone.
Loves: the tuna tartare, braised beef, lavender ice cream, Rampoldi cocktail Pass: chocolate cake. I felt the cake was too crumbly.
Loved the place and what I ordered. Beef tartare was perfection. But my husband didn't like the duck he had :(
Good food. waiters were a bit too busy to be prompt, VERY VERY noisy. had to shout to people on the same table
We had a quick bite here before a concert. The ambiance of great, the service was wonderful. The presentation of the food was great and everything was delicious. We will certainly come back and enjoy a dinner without rushing next time.
