This was our second visit to Rampoldi. It is a great spot to go before heading to the opera at Lincoln Center. The service is exceptional and very professional. The live music provided wonderful ambience for the delicious dinner. Everything our party ate, from the salad to the fish and the gelato, was absolutely delicious.
Wonderful food; pre theatre prix fixe a good value. Live music set a lovely tone yet was unobtrusive. Servers mindful of our curtain time but meal never felt rushed. Beautiful space. Definitely an enhancement to our evening.
The food experience was outstanding, we had raw oysters and clams, very fresh. Deliciously crispy fried zucchini and calamari; savory scallops with truffles; desserts were excellent. Did not care much for the hot decaf coffee: for such a great restaurant, I would expect better coffee. All staff was courteous and polite. Food was served promptly. Just was disappointed about quality of coffee, I had to ask for milk with it and it took a long time to get it, then I got warm milk...
