This was one of the nicest experiences I had in a restaurant in Manhattan. My team and I took our lunch in that place after a recommendation of our coworker. It was the first time I had Persian food.We sat by the window, we’ve been offered the menus and we placed our orders. I got the chicken shish kabob and the others tried the koobideh kabob and the sirloin steak kabob. At the beginning each one of us received one plate of salad which was mouthwatering. Then our main plates arrived -in a timely manner- and we started eating right away. The food was delicious! The chicken was tender, clean tasted and flavorful. It had a few spices but it was not spiced at all. I also really liked the basmati rice on the side. The portions were more than enough. As a result we took food to our homes lolGreat value of money. And the prices are very logical for Manhattan. We finished our lunch by getting the Persian ice cream. Sooo good! The service was on top of us all the times. Very attentive and kind.Really good job guys!We will be coming back soon.

Visited this Persian spot on a Sunday evening around 6:45pm. Wow, we came just at the right time because this spot was PACKED and had a long wait right after we were seated. We ordered the shallot yogurt and were served some tasty bread and 2 other dips. The shallot yogurt was pretty mid, it didn’t have a huge flavor to us.We also ordered the fesenjoon stew and koobideh kabob. The portions are a really good size. The stew has a rich, very full flavor with plenty of chicken. The pomegranate flavor gives it a bit of tartness which I loved. Overall the meal was so good and very filling. Great Persian food in NYC.

I found this place by chance while looking for restaurants not far from the hotel and I was surprised by the quality and goodness of the food. If you want to go out and eat something different than usual I highly recommend this restaurant. The only flaw is that the table where we were sitting was almost next to that of our neighbors... it's as if we were eating with them :). Apart from this little note, otherwise I recommend it

As one of Ravagh's regulars, I must say that the restaurant offers a captivating journey through Persian flavors right in the heart of New York City. The warm and welcoming ambiance immediately sets the stage for a delightful dining experience, reminiscent of nostalgic reunions with the rich and subtle tastes of Iranian cuisine. The attentive and friendly staff, exemplified by the skilled Turkish waiter who expertly guides patrons through the menu, truly enhances the overall dining experience. From the juicy and tender lamb shank to the traditional khoresh fesenjan, each dish exudes deliciousness and hygiene, providing a satisfying taste of Persian culinary delights. While my experiences have generally been positive, I've noticed some mixed opinions among fellow diners. While many express contentment with their meals, some find certain dishes, like the khoresh fesenjan, to be overly sweet. Additionally, opinions on pricing vary, with some deeming it reasonable while others find it slightly expensive. However, I must commend the restaurant's commitment to cleanliness, as evidenced by the kitchen staff's adherence to hygiene protocols and the presence of disinfectant spray in the restroom.Beyond its culinary offerings, Ravagh's strategic location in Manhattan, coupled with its inviting ambiance and traditional music, creates an immersive dining environment that resonates with patrons. The combination of familiar flavors, attentive service, and cultural ambiance truly makes Ravagh a noteworthy destination for anyone seeking an authentic taste of Iran in the bustling metropolis of New York City.In conclusion, Ravagh offers a compelling dining experience characterized by its flavorful cuisine, welcoming atmosphere, and attentive service. While individual opinions may vary, the restaurant's dedication to providing a taste of Persian hospitality leaves a lasting impression on its patrons. I highly recommend Ravagh to fellow aficionados of Iranian cuisine and cultural enthusiasts alike.Last but not least, don't forget the napoleon for dessert! ? And don't forget to make a reservation.
