The reggae music was incredible and the food was delicious. Particularly the guacamole, the empanadas, cornbread with pork chorizo gravy, and fried chicken and waffles.

Dining in this restaurant is an experience to do. The live music is simply outstanding and the staff went above and beyond to make me and my parents feel at home. They also changed our table to let us see the concert even better. 10/10!!! I'm gonna go back at least once a month.

Red Rooster Harlem is a gem! The food is exceptional with a creative mix of soulful favorites with unique twists (Mac and greens as an example). The service is friendly yet professional and polished, and the cocktail menu is unique and offers a wide range of options. The remodel of the restaurant was phenomenal and the live music was an added bonus. Highly rcommend!

Wow. The moment I walked in, I was amazed at the ambience, the music and the vibe of it all. I wasn't expecting it at all. Everyone enjoyed their food. Some of the best, if not the best, Mac and cheese we've all ever tasted. Excellent. And the waffles were so delicious! We had a great time and will be back. The music is a bit loud but not too loud for us but just thought I'd mention in case you're looking for a quiet place to talk.

This place deserves 10 ⭐️’s. So this was our first trip to NYC and the one thing everyone told me was “go to visit Harlem”. On our second night we went and visited the Red Rooster. This place is a vibe. The music was great, the food was awesome and the staff is 12/10. German (the manager) and his staff made us feel right at home. Dane, our server was on point with recommendations and making sure our glasses were never empty. If you ever come to NYC, you have got to make it to Harlem and the Red Rooster. Make sure to go on a night where they have live music. The artists we saw were great!!

Red Rooster is OUTSTANDING in all areas. We went there for Christmas dinner and felt so at home. The food, drink, service and atmosphere were excellent. We had the chicken and waffles, lobster roll, buccatini and shrimp and grits and we loved it all! I just had the lobster roll and chicken and waffles delivered to my son for his birthday! Meal came within 5 minutes of ordering. Not a good sign. I asked for a replacement piece of chicken. It was better. I will try again next visit.

My first time and ohhh my goodness! If that had to be my last meal…well it would be the best meal! I had the catfish entree and my Lord, absolutely fabulous! Dixie our server was beautiful and attentive. My new go to all the way from Asbury Park NJ. Beautiful and delicious!

Always a great experience from the food to the music, the serial ice and the overall vibe. We enjoyed our cocktails and the musicians were on point. We don't make it uptown that often but when we do I'm glad that we make our way to this gem of a spot. Highly recommend the cornbread, catfish, banana old fashioned and coconut sweet potato soup

My wife and I went here on 1/3/2026 and had a great time. The choice of songs by the dj was great and the live performance was outstanding. The server who unfortunately I forgot her name was amazing. My compliments to the chef is in order for the meal we ate. The oxtail was made to perfection, and the catfish was delicious. The brussels sprouts were charged and seasoned to my liking. The only thing that we had that we did not enjoy was the dessert and that was the apple pie and ice cream other than that everything was excellent. I should also mention that the whole staff from the waiters, servers and other employees were tremendous.
