Renaissance Harlem

Very nice restaurant. Small. A few people for staff, but since the restaurant itself has bought a few tables, that never became a problem. Our server was very friendly. We enjoyed our appetizers and our dinners. I love hot spicy foods, but I must admit, the African spicy sauce was indeed very spicy . The only downside and why it did not get a five star rather four, is that we typically drink Chardonnay, and there were a few listed on the menu, but they had none at all so we had a Sauvignon Blanc.  overall,, a very nice experience.

I had the special of the day red snapper. It was excellent and the waiter suggested it and he was right, The food was seasoned, just right. The staff was very polite. I was visiting New York for Thanksgiving and I found this restaurant on the internet and said I would check it out going by its menu. The food was excellent.

The music was way too loud, but other than this, it was a nice dining experience, and Feb food was very good.

Hadn't been here in years and was worried the quality wouldn't be the same. Luckily that wasn't the case. Everything we had was delicious: the escargot, steak hash, Norwegian Benedict, and ginger and bissap martinis. The staff was also great throughout the service.

I hadn't been here before. What a nice treat. It was a very nice experience. The experience was enhanced by the fact that it is almost across the street from Harlem Hops, one of the best beer bars in town, and almost next-door to the shrine, a terrific world music venue. That makes Renaissance and even more enviable destination.

If I could give this restaurant zero stars, I would. My husband and I visited on Valentine’s Day, hoping to enjoy their pre fixed menu, but unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. With a reservation we waited almost an hour before being seated comfortably. The place was really loud and cold. My chair was wobbling, and I felt like I was going to break it. My drink tasted like sink water, The lamb chops lacked flavor, and the mashed potatoes tasted like they came from a box — certainly not what you’d expect from a meal costing nearly $400. The only dish that stood out was the fried chicken, Overall, the quality of the food did not match the price point or the expectations. Please don't believe what you see on social media..

Great food it's a wonderful location. I have had the pleasure of dining twice at Renaissance it 9s a hidden gem with amazing food. Well seasoned, beautiful presentation and accommodating staff. This is a spot advertised for it's 2 for $18 Martini; although well made do not let deflect from the amazing spices and savory taste. 5/5 or 10/10 .

Everything was wonderful. The flounder was delicious. The price was just right. The service was excellent. Would definitely come back again.

Went for MIL's birthday. My first time, but wife had been once before.

Food was really good! No complaints at all. Had red snapper with jollof rice and brussel sprouts, wife had flounder with jollof rice and spinach. MIL had cod. Everything was well prepared and flavorful.

We were there for the 2 for 1 martinis. Definitely had alcohol in them 😆

Manager was very friendly and accommodating.

It was an amazing experience. The customer service is top tier from the entrance. The food was very tasty and flavorful. The food was exceptional and satisfying. I enjoyed the vibe and the music selection. Very nostalgic!

The food delivers complete contentment. Most items show culinary knowledge. I observed the personnel were mindful. You'll sense the thoughtful design. I have to go back to upgrade my review.
