The food was absolutely delicious! I got the yellow curry pot with shrimp and my date got the yellow curry pad see ew. We share the crispy duck salad and vegetable spring rolls. They do not sell liquor so go to a bar afterwards if you want to drink. Otherwise everything was great!

I went during lunch while I was in the area and my food didn’t take longer than 10 minutes. Everything was fast and really good. Flavor was 10/10 ! I had gotten the pad see ew with the salad and omg I was obsessed with the salad dressing alone, soooo good ! Will be coming back to try other dishes on their menu

The food, atmosphere and service were all amazing. Since I found out about River Thai from a co worker and since then I frequent it at least once a week. Really good food, especially the lunch special.

Portion size is very small . Food is pricey. Ordered the shrimp drunken noodles on uber eats (pick-up)
Don’t order the teriyaki chicken. It’s basically overpriced chicken with broccoli.. chicken was hard overcooked sauce was very watery. You can probably get way better chicken and broccoli for half the cost at a local Chinese restaurant.

If I could only eat at one restaurant in NYC ever again it would be River Thai. Every single one of their curries is phenomenal and flavorful. If you're dining in treat yourself to the crispy duck! This is a great place for groups as well because you can BYOB. After eating here at least twice a month for three years I can say there is not a single weak spot on the menu. The owners and staff are also super kind, and for takeout the food is always ready ridiculously quickly. My favorites are the yellow curry, pad see ew and curry puffs, but you really can't go wrong!
I have to admit, I was skeptical about this place, thinking that it must be well reviewed due to it being one of the only Thai restaurants in the area. But while they don’t serve pork (which is a big minus) the food is actually really solid and generally yummy Thai. Is it going to be the best or the most authentic Thai meal in New York? Of course not. But it’s honestly priced, reliable, unpretentious and generally a great Thai restaurant. Definitely worth the stop if you live in the area.

Went on a Sunday for lunch, it wasn’t busy so service was really quick! I had the drunken noodles and my partner had the pineapple duck curry …. both dishes were PHENOMENAL! 10/ 10 would recommend! I’m so excited to continue to try more items on the menu!
super reliable place -- the food is consistently yummy and it's always prepared quickly! the staff are very sweet and helpful, and have been accommodating of all kinds of requests. highly recommended : - )
I have nothing but great things to say about this place. I unexpectedly...had an amazing experience at this establishment. I had been in there before because I love Thai Iced Tea. So I went to get another 1 to travel with. I walked in and my eyes caught some deliciousness on someone else's plate. I had to step back and read the menu. I promise you I was not looking to see so many delicious looking dishes so I decided to stay awhile. Did I mention the customer service was excellent?... cause it absolutely was. The young lady was so nice and polite. Made feel like I was the only one important. I love experiences like that. Then the food absolutely complimented the customer service. I was not mad at all. Thank you for taking the time to make sure this 1st impression didn't need a second chance. Great job.
Vegetarian options: Everything is pretty much vegetarian because your asked if you would like to add a protein

Great ambiance. Great service! I got the Thai iced tea and chicken larb. Very spicy. But I like spice. Please read carefully because this dish contains crucial ingredients to its performance.
It has a crispy toasted rice powder that gives an obvious grainy-type (rice grain) crunch. The biggest thing for me was the fish sauce that I overlooked. Besides that, it tastes great, but I can not get over the smell. So if I could order without the two ingredients mentioned, then sure.
I am in no way hating on this dish, but it is a headup to those who also like to experiment with new foods. It's just like mentioning an unassuming dish is actually pretty spicy.
Anyway, reading is fundamental. Overall my group was serviced well and I will definitely be coming back!
