The location, atmosphere, and quality of food are fantastic. Unfortunately the staff and service do not meet this high standard. Compared to other high-end restaurant, the service is quite poor. On many occasions the waiters just pay very little attention, and at times there will be very long stretches during which they would not come to the table. Groups of 3-5 would stay next to the bar and chat with each other rather than attending to the needs of the guests. More than ones I had to get up and find somebody to come to the table to take our orders. Therefore I have decide to come here less often.

What a nice treat to dine at Riverpark. The large floor to ceiling windows open up an amazing view of the river. The atmosphere and service was only rivaled by the extensive menu of culinary options and choices. The bar is very inviting and the friendly bartenders assisted our choices in scotch and tequila. We ordered appetizers of tuna carpaccio and salads before moving on to the halibut and the black bass. Everything was elegant and delicious and we look forward to visiting again real soon.

Riverpark is a modern American restaurant situated right next to the East River. Floor-to-ceiling windows paired with beautiful contemporary design and breathtaking views, dinner is sure on the next level. Check your coats with their friendly staffs and have a seat by the window. Salmon mousse was served as an evening starter along with bread and butter. Riverpark’s cocktails are tasty and not watered down by using a legitimate big block of ice. Cheese and meat board is neatly organized with the right pairings. Shrimp cocktails are like jumbo prawns freshly caught and chilled then served on the table. Today, they have an appetizer special of hamachi crudo with sea urchin. So delicate and full of umami flavor. Ribeye for two is absolutely fantastic and it was what you expect in a modern American restaurant. Save room for their amazing delightful desserts and a small little surprise at the end of the meal.

Fresh, well-seasoned food, large portions. Spacious restaurant with river views. Excellent service - ask for Jerome to be your waiter!Vegetarian options: They have a well-considered entree that is completely vegetarian. You can also get vegetarian sandwiches if you like avocado.Wheelchair accessibility: It's on the first floor. There are revolving doors but the front desk staff can open one of the regular ones if need be

We really wanted to love this stunningly located restaurant. The views are superb the food is ok to lgood (not great) but the beautiful, elegant restaurant was basically empty. 5pm-9pm Thursday night. This emptiness also was the case when we were there a year ago.The website says it opens at 4/430 but it does not open now until 5. My taxi driver knew exactly where it was located but said drivers have a hard time finding it.My husband had a hard time finding the location and I asked the manager to guide him by phone (I was already in the restaurant) and she spoke to him and then said ‘directions are on the website’. Tricky to read while driving! But really, the unclear location is not the problem. NYers find obscure restaurants when motivated. If I owned this stunning restaurant I would ask where are the customers? The bartender said the restaurant is not open Sat and Sunday because of no business. These symptoms are not evidence of a great restaurant. So what is wrong?Location A+Physical Venue A+Food B/B-Service B/B-Energy C feels coldI am very sorry. We are NYers who enjoy dining throughout the city. We would love to be motivated to come back to this stunning location, but that is unlikely.

Great service, ambience, food and view! Love this spot for lunch, dinner or happy hour.

Gourmet food and drinks with tranquil views of the East River in this dining destination.Location: I don't live close to this location at all. June found this amazing spot in extensive research. When you approach this building complex, you feel as if you are leaving the everyday streets of Manhattan, you are all the way on the east side of Manhattan. When we entered the larger building, walk toward the back area near the modern stairwell to see the entrance. This spot has floor to ceiling windows that give you a nice view of Mayor Bloomberg's accomplishments and developers high rises in Long Island City and Brooklyn. In New York, it is easy to forget the majesty of the rivers that surround the city. Riverpark lives up its name. You see the river and it feels like a park tranquil. If you do sit outside, you will hear FDR driver highway traffic so tranquil life is found with modern sound resistant glass. You are in the restaurant now and it is beautiful modern bar, tables, chairs. We enjoyed lunch and an early dinner here and found it on both of our visits. There may be solid happy hour specials because the bar seating was packed as we dined in the seated area.Food and drinks: Every dish was a tour de force and in NYC there is some great restaurants but this place stood out on its flavor and exquisite execution on each and every item. I loved the vegetarian items where the chef created dishes which had a genuine meaty flavor with cauliflower and pasta dishes with Shiitake mushrooms. The drinks were very strong and tasty across the board. The classic cocktails were also worth a look.Service: For the lunch, our server, Jerome White, I believe, made a special meal for our family as we celebrated a birthday. His attention and genuine approach made an excellent meal even better. On our second visit, our server delivered on all accounts but Jerome is still the best in my experience.Sum-up: If it is near or far from you, it is worth a visit. I recommend a reservation to check out lunch, brunch, or happy hour for your favorite occasion. Say hi to Jerome for us.

Last time I was at Riverpark was in 2016 when it was still owned by Tom Collichio. I was looking for a spot to celebrate my dates birthday and decided on this restaurant. Upon further research, I found out that it was no longer owned by Tom, but some new owners who just kept the same name. The reviews still looked good so I thought to give it a try. Especially because of the view of the water from here. The restaurant was very accommodating, they helped with putting the birthday boys name on the menu, as well as stayed open to receive us when we were over 15 minutes late due to intense traffic by the east river. We had to order in the car to save time. For starters we had the tuna carpaccio and the oysters which were yummy. For starters I had the halibut with roasted mushrooms, sweet onions, parsnip purée and mushroom consommé, 10/10. Savory, well made, and just melts in the mouth. The linguine was also good 7/10 , it just had too much garlic. Overall this Chef knows his stuff. Service was 10/10. Thanks to our servers Ethan and Ritchie as well as to Nadine the manager for accommodating us for this special occasion. Only con is they close way too early by 9pm but it's understandable as the area pretty much becomes dead after a certain time.

When we talk about hidden gems, it's a bit conflicting. We want to let everyone know, but we want it to remain our little secret. This being said I'm sure it's not such a big secret, but there weren't many people here when I was. Loved having the place to myself. The food was good, my steak sort of let me down at this price point only because there was inedible hard fat and I've had better steaks many many other places, which is not to say this wasn't good, it was still a great steak, the lemony hollidaise and potatoes that were served with it were nothing short of amazing and the mushrooms in sherry cream were absolutely the same! They had crispy onions and I fought myself to try and save a few. (I did and made the most delicate and amazing eggs the next morning with these right on top- it was decadent and delicious.)We were also greeted with a pleasant little mouth amuser (amuse bouche)Every time I have one of these I'm simultaneously mad that I don't get them more often at more places and overjoyed that I'm getting one when I am. It's so rare to find, now all I need riverpark to do is supply some branded match books for the cause.Side note, what are your favorite restaurants that have an amuse bouche? Or a matchbook??

Delightful and delicious meal. We ate outside overlooking the East River. Just a great setting and our waiter was fantastic. Started with a shrimp cocktail. Maybe the largest shrimp that I have ever seen. We then had the branzino for 2. Huge fish and beautifully filleted. Served with mixed vegetables and potatoes. Great meal and we will be returning soon.

Had a pulsd deal for their terrace. Ambiance is incredible and the food tastes great but was VERY small portion sizes. The shrimp cocktail has 2 shrimp, while even as larger shrimp, is a small amount of shrimp for an appetizer. Service was very great!
