We came here for drinks and food in Roey’s, and everything started out great — the food was tasty, the drinks were good, and the atmosphere was nice. However, when I asked the server what other snacks they had, she told me to look at the menu. Before I could decide, she came back with the check — even though we never asked for it. I was actually trying to order more food and drinks. I went ahead and paid, but it felt a bit rushed and cut short. Would have liked to enjoy more if the service had been a bit more attentive.

While the brussel sprouts are delicious, all our dishes came out kind of cold/lukewarm and the portions were not very filling, especially for the price. Maybe only worth it to come for happy hour when things are a little discounted.

Brussels sprouts and salad were great but pizza was a little soggy and there was loud construction ruining the atmosphere but I know that wasn’t necessarily their fault, but would have been nice to have been warned when making a reservation.

Rude service, and clearly up to no good if they can’t even accept legal IDs from other countries… Enough about the claims of the law because no other restaurant is like this. Clearly they have gotten in trouble before if they can’t accept legal IDs

Amazing food and service! Thank you Chris for always making our experience memorable. Soppressata pizza and riviera salad were our favorite. Must try if you are in the West Village.

Definitely one of my favorite pizza restaurants in NYC. Delicious dough, high quality ingredients and fun casual atmosphere.

Never going back. The food was very good but our service was terrible. Almost entirely
Courtesy of the manager who seemed to have no concept of customer service. He seemed to have more of an old school headmaster vibe where he just wants you to follow the rules and not ask for anything. Maybe he was having a bad day but he took it out on us.

During my visit to NYC myself and my partner visited Roey’s twice. One time good and one time not so good.
The first day we had a booking for food and drinks and were seated straight away and we had a great time.
Because we enjoyed our night in roeys we decided to go back for happy hour to grab some pizza and drinks. Upon arrival we were met by a very rude host. She was very dismissive and rude. I am 25 years of age and my partner is 28, she demanded ID from us but our passports were in the safe in the hotel, I then proceeded to tell her I had dinner and drinks here two days ago and there wasn’t a problem with me being served then and wasn’t asked for ID either. I even told her I would book a new reservation in front of her on my OpenTable account and offered pictures of my passport and drivers licence but was met by a cheeky and rude woman. My partner then said he would go back to the hotel to get our physical passports and once she realised we were irish and not American, her attitude became worse and at this point we didn’t want to dine/drink or spend more money in a rude amd uncomfortable environment made by your host. Roeys should make up their mind if they want ID from every customer on every visit and not to pick and choose. This host needs a lesson in hosting and friendliness. It is a pity that she has ruined our opinion of this establishment.
**I have seen Roeys reply to other bad reviews about ID’s stating that all customers ordering/consuming alcohol need to show a valid US ID, and on my booking on 2nd July @ 7pm, both myself and my partner were served alcohol with NO ID ASKED FOR OR SHOWN, come on Roeys, do better, train all of your staff the same because this is ridiculous behaviour**

Fun spot with good cocktails and some very solid food. Pizza, meatballs and garlic knots never disappoint.

We love Roey’s but the gluten free pizza crust was down right nasty. Definitely can’t recommend if you need gluten free options.
