Decent fish for decent price -- would definitely go again. Obviously not going to be excellent sushi at this price point but not bad at all. There's definitely a wait -- he quoted us 2 hours when we walked in, so I recommend ordering ahead of time.

After being tiktok'd they are slammed and preorders are basically required since one guy makes everything. Usually don't take orders after 3pm.

This place is a one-man show, so your order might take a bit too long. I called around 10am and was asked to pick up at 1pm, for a simple sushi set. The Roy’s Special set includes unagi, so that’s a plus. The salmon roll cut was uneven. This place is great if you live around the area, but not if you have to take a long commute unless you order in big portion, which might worth the effort. It’s to-go only, there’s a park near the waterside under Queensboro bridge that takes like 10mins walk.

The worst sushi ever. $60 for 2 rolls and 2 deluxe sets and the sashimi was inedible. I got cuts of fish I’ve never seen before, literally random scrap parts sold as sashimi and the sushi was also suspect. This place is a health hazard. Disgusting and a waste of money. Editing to add the fish smelled bad as well and we are burping gross fish smell.

4.5/5: I came here because I have heard rave reviews. I was not disappointed. I got the Nigiri combo. It was delicious and very filling. I think the only thing I would caution is to put your order when the store opens sometimes you can call at 10am and they won't be able to fulfill your order till 1:30PM. So be forewarned.

I called last night at 6 pm and they told me they stopped taking sushi orders so I called this morning right when they opened at 9 am and ordered a sushi/sashimi combo for pickup at 11am on a Thursday. There was nobody in there when I got there. After tax it turned out to be $26. Don’t let the old menu on the website fool you because there are no lunch specials anymore and all the prices have went up. Worth it though! Roy was nice and he made my order when I got there. Took about 10 minutes!

Skip the rolls, not that it's bad, but you really really want the fish. Get nigiri or Sashimi, really good quality. Don't drench it in wasabi or soy sauce just a little, like a little dip is fine. Enjoy. Better priced than a lot of places nearby too.
The fish was fresh!!! I waited 30 minutes but I didn't care......it was well worth the wait! A father and son operation too. The son was very pleasant. Definitely will order something else next time I'm in the neighborhood!!!🙂🍣

This is a no frills, high quality takeout sushi & fish monger that’s an incredible ROI. Roy was also super nice and added in a spicy tuna roll for my sushi sashimi combo! I also ordered scallop, ikura and sweet shrimp.
The scallop and sweet shrimp are literally some of the best ive ever had. Everything else was incredible too 🥹

Don’t recommend anyone to come here. We told them we came a long way to visit this store. Their response was that they don’t want our business. They said 1 hour 30 mins or more wait for a lunch order because they’re backed up by party platters orders. We were going to order something small which would take 10 mins and they refused to accommodate.
