Sweet little restaurant. We had the nicest and engaging server. The food was great and drinks were good. Love the area.
At the outset, I have to make it clear that I love Little Ruby's in SoHo. I've been coming there for years, back from way before Covid. And I will continue to go. I love the food. I love the atmosphere. I love the servers. For the longest time, I had to come early to get 'my' seat and am now very, VERY happy that I can book ahead. But yesterday's experience prompted me to file a small note, which I am doing here. I had made a reservation for 9.15 a.m. I arrived, only to be told that there are renovations and that the cafe won't be open until at/around 10 a.m. The staff hadn't checked on any reservations for the day and only then started to send out notices. I came back just before 10, and waited for a bit until I could enter. Look, these things happen. Renovations take longer than planned. Something unexpected occurs. That's just life. And in New York City ... we deal with it. But when you have customers, you could easily address it, like so: Manager: Looks like we won't be able to open at our usual hour of 9 a.m. The contractors won't be finished until 10 a.m. Colleague, do we have any bookings before 10? Colleague: Why yes, Manager, we do have three bookings before 10. Whatever shall we do? Manager: No worries, mate. Just send them this text: "Dear customer, Little Ruby's SoHo is undergoing a revamp - we're making it even prettier for you. We had planned to be finished before 9 a.m. on Saturday, 29 November. Unfortunately, the contractors will need a lil more time and we had to push the opening to 10 a.m. As you have a reservation before 10 a.m., we have rescheduled it for 10 a.m. and will welcome you then in the new & improved Little Ruby's SoHo. And as a token of our appreciation for your kind understanding, the first hot or cold beverage is on us. Thank you for your continued patronage & see you at 10 a.m.! Your Little Ruby's Team" Colleague: Great, I'll send out ASAP! End of story. Everyone's happy. Cheers
Food t asted amazing. The noodles in my pasta were quite a bit over cooked and mushy. Beers came in what seemed like a small glass with an inch or so of foam.

We had an amazing BLT and almond milk latte. The bacon jam was fantastic and the sour bread. Wow !!!
We ate here in December 2024. This was one of our favorite restaurants in NYC that we visited this trip! Food was top notch and the atmosphere was cozy.

Great food, always a staple in Soho. Lovely for lunch or brunch. I always come back for their crispy rice bowl.
honestly little rubys in soho has the worst service ever… I love me some little ruby’s and have ordered from here multiple times and gone to multiple locations but this one always seems to disappoint in some shape or form. Usually the food always makes up for the the lack of actual good service in this location but this past sat actually had me in shock bc why was this the meal that was served to me it looks like leftovers and i know how it’s supposed to look like. Waited 30 min for this like be so fr and then had to send it it back bc I actually couldn’t even think about eating it. they did bring a “new” one out AND then left me without a fork , no server in sight and it still looked off. Pls go to another little ruby’s bccc…

Food is pretty average and price is standard given the area. I enjoyed the shrimp pasta and appreciated that they were de-veined and had their tails removed. Definitely get the fries with truffle aioli.
Heard a lot about this spot for years and never got to try it until today. Host and wait staff tend to come off hostile and unwelcoming (don't take it personal)-- bound to happen when an establishment is predominantly catered to and run by transplants.
A cute place to have brunch with friends, but don't expect comfort enjoying your meal without feeling rushed/pressured to leave.

We went to have brunch and had a classic cheeseburger and Ragu pasta. Everything was good except one thing. A young waitress was waiting next to our table to snatch our plates as we're eating. We're not quite done but she kept asking whether we're done. She did the same thing to the other table with Asian customers. We're offended by it and left ASAP we're done. That's rude. Not coming back. That's for sure.

The place is not large. We arrived at about ten and waited for about twenty minutes. The food was good but not impressive though. I suggest skip it in the case that the waiting is too long.

One of the best hospitality we’ve experienced. Food is excellent as well!
Host was rude for no reason, usually give people benefit of the doubt but it was uncalled for and not the way to treat a customer! Everyone else was polite.
The kitchen here delivers quality worth experiencing weekly. The restaurant staff handles everything professionally. I received enough food to make me full. No hidden fees will surprise you here. This restaurant has my ongoing loyalty.

The food was pretty good, but the portions were small. We were chatting, and the waiter came over with the check without us asking for it — my boyfriend actually wanted to have another coffee. After bringing the check, they came by two or three more times to ask if we needed anything else. Honestly, it kind of felt like they were indirectly trying to get us to leave.
