Came here for lunch. Had to wait a little bit for a table as we walked in as a party of 6. The place had a really nice atmosphere. Service was fast. Everyone I was with really enjoyed their food but mine was quite bland and did not have much flavor. It did not come with the scallion salsa that was indicated on the menu. Would not recommend for vegans as I had very few options to choose from, but otherwise it was a really nice spot.

Me and my friend had decided to come here to dine in for great past experiences from eating from ruby’s in general.
We decided to give this location soho a try and I’m Really disappointed with my experience here. My drink was spilled on me by the waiter, and when I looked at the tap water placed on top of another table it appeared yellowish brownish, which made me uncomfortable drinking it and forced us to order bottled water instead. On top of that, my friend had to send her drink back because there was something unknown floating in it.
To make matters worse, the waiter added a tip for herself even though I had already left a cash tip. I then spent the whole day waiting to hear back from a manager when I initially called the first time, only for the resolution to be a refund of the extra $13 that was taken. During the transaction she just told me that she needed my signature and I realized I didn’t see the options for tipping, so I told her if it would be okay if I tipped in cash instead, which she responded “yeah that’s fine”.
Good thing I looked at the bank statement later that evening and noticed the amount was over my split of the cost between me and my friend.
Completely unacceptable experience from a place I used to genuinely enjoy.
Some of the best food we had in the city. Lovely vibe good and fast service.

Disappointed by the ragu.
- Mushy pasta. Pappardelle was cooked far beyond al dente
- Large pool of juice pooled at the bottom of the plate instead of a sauce that clings to the pasta
- Not well balanced overall. Dish felt very heavy. Could use more fresh herbs or acidity
My table ordered three of these and they were all prepared the same way. Otherwise, good service and atmosphere

I recently stopped by this popular spot in New York and had a really pleasant experience. Little Ruby’s brings a relaxed, Aussie-inspired café vibe right into SoHo, with a casual, friendly atmosphere that feels perfect for brunch or lunch.
The menu is fun and varied — I tried their Bronte Burger and a shrimp salad, both of which were tasty and satisfying without feeling too heavy. The pasta and ricotta hotcakes also come highly recommended if you’re into classic comfort food with a bit of flair.
The place can get quite busy, especially around weekend brunch and dinner, which gives it an energetic buzz but also means it can feel a bit crowded and lively.
Overall, it’s a great casual stop with solid food, good coffee, and a welcoming, buzzy vibe — ideal for a laid-back meal with friends or a fun brunch date.

Shrimp pasta was good but others were just average. To me it didn’t worth the long wait. Also the space was crowded

Update 2024: I am still going to Ruby's regularly, and I have to shout out the Manager working on Friday Nov. 22nd. I had a bad hankering for a chicken sandwich with fries and he accommodated my late night pick-up order, even though I was severely delayed by train. Honestly made my night. Top notch service! Thanks for being amazing as usual! 💖
One of my favorites, never had anything from here that I didn't love! The food tastes so fresh and clean. Also they have gluten free options and are very accommodating of their menu. I order takeout probably twice a month and the pricing is reasonable. Highly recommend!

I recently visited this café and had a really nice experience. Gabe provided excellent service he was direct, informative, and very knowledgeable about the menu. He took the time to explain the options and was more than willing to accommodate my preferences, which I really appreciated. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. I ordered the pasta, and it was both fulfilling and very tasty. Overall, the food and service made for a great visit.
I would definitely recommend stopping by!

I wanted to share some feedback from our recent visit. Overall, we appreciated the atmosphere and the effort from the team, but there were a few points I believe are important to mention.
One of the pasta dishes felt noticeably watery, which affected both the texture and overall flavor. Additionally, one of the sandwiches was not cooked to the requested temperature.
Most importantly, there was a guest at our table with a gluten allergy who was not informed that the fries contained gluten. Unfortunately, this resulted in physical discomfort afterward. We understand that mistakes can happen, but clear communication around allergens is critical for guest safety.
We’re sharing this feedback constructively and hope it helps improve the experience for future guests. I love the cheeseburger, by the way. Thank you for taking the time to read it.

The café has a lively energy, but it’s definitely on the loud side — conversation was a bit of a challenge for our group of six. The service experience was also confusing. Our first server assured us they could split the bill six ways, but later another server told us that wasn’t possible. When we mentioned what we’d originally been told, the first server ended up taking care of it. It all worked out, but the back-and-forth felt strange and a little disorganized.
I ordered the Bronte, which sounded great on paper — essentially a hamburger served as a sandwich. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. The concept was appealing, but the execution just fell flat for me. Overall, an okay visit, but not without a few bumps.

Food was great and the watermelon drink was very good and light. Place can be cramped but overall place was amazing.
A must-try in NYC! This place is wonderful, and the staff incredible balancing between two dining rooms! The maitre d' was very fast and efficient handling reservations, and very smooth at seating people at their table. I love the relaxed feel of this place, and the casual efficiency of the waitstaff able to maneuver tight spaces was impressive. The shrimp pasta, the spicy Vodka pasta, the brussel sprouts were amazing and fresh. Service was well-timed and friendly, and the hot apple cider was delicious on a frigid cold winter day. So far I've eaten at three of their five venues and I've gotten the same excellent care. I can't wait to return to the other two places to try more dishes!

I’ve been here a few times now and have always had good experiences. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and helpful, especially the staff member Dru, who assisted me and my friend. She was patient, knowledgeable and made the whole experience feel easy. The staff is consistently kind and attentive and it makes a big difference. This place deserves more credit!
