‼️I’ll give them 1star cause I can’t do less. The lady working there at night is the most rude and un respectful person I’ve ever seen selling something, plus she looks like she’s on drugs and overpriced the food, 30$ for one yucky stew?!?! Come on!!! Worst experience ever, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING THERE. ❌❌❌

Terrible. Worse than my own cooking. Should’ve known the food was bad once the hospitality was bad. Lady had her airpods in hardly listening anything I said. Rice is bland, Collard greens look BLACK, taste over cooked and salmon is Mediocre. Gave it try to for sum new but I’m sticking to King Barka. Way better EVERYTHING. They need to close this place down to save Harlem citizens. This is the definition of Jamaicans who can’t cook COME TO AMERICA to serve food.

Horrible service! The black girl with the glasses behind the counter, just walked off on me in the middle of me telling her what I wanted. So rude! I stood and watched her as I counted to thirty. I left after that!

Oxtails were not cooked long enough, the sauce is amazing but the texture was tough. I go here to get my oxtails because of the sauce but they don’t cook them the same every time. This place has a lot of potential to make way more money but the food always comes out different from time to time… they gotta get the cooking times down on paper and seasonings as well so it can always taste the same..

So I ordered the 8 shrimp for $10. The lady behind the the counter meticulously counts out 7. I mention to her, Hey, I only got 7 when it's 8 for 10. She replies "One of the shrimp was breaded so it counts at two"... Excuse me, what?!?! I paid for 8 shrimp, not 7 and fried breading. Not coming here again.

I used to go here often, but after this week I will never be setting foot in that store! The Rasta Pasta looked like it was sitting for HOURS. All dry, mushy, and brown. I could tell they weren’t going to make a fresh batch because the current batch was sitting for a while & they clearly don’t want to waste oxtail. I ordered it & haven’t been feeling the same ever since. I knew I shouldn’t have ordered it by the way it looked so disgusting, oh well. Plus the fat bleached out black woman with the bonnet was terrible, no gloves just toggling from the phone while serving my plate, ewwww. Please don’t go here. Not worth it. It’s dirty, old, unsanitary, and rude.

My second time ordering in 2 days after telling my daughter how great the food was. In just the last 20 minuites. The cashier / server was rude. I was the only customer at the time. No greeting what so ever. She was chewing on an apple rolling her eyes and checking a phone. I am a harlem resident and I have been employed at lincoln center for 24 years and considered having your restaurant for some of our catered events. I was very disappointed at this level of service

I came in in the morning and said hello as usual and the girl never said anything back to me. In fact she was sweeping the floor and did not acknowledge me at all with her back still turned sweeping. She took her sweet time and then when she was ready to come towards me, she still said nothing. I said good morning again and she proceeded to tell me that she could not hear me, which I knew was a lie because the last time I came there , I did not have to do all of that. Anyway, it took me about a good 15 minutes to get her to serve me because she decided to go back-and-forth with me over her not being able to hear me. I asked her to come over to where I was to the service window, repeatedly and she refused so that way she could hear me clearly and she still did not budge because she wanted to keep her attitude going. At this point I wanted to leave, but I was not going to let her ruin my morning after I walked all the way from Lenox Avenue for breakfast. She proceeded to serve me with an attitude and started rumbling while she was serving me.This had to be the most unprofessional service that I’ve ever received here because the thing to do when a customer enters your establishment is to acknowledge them first, greet them and then serve them. She did neither. In fact she did her own thing her way because she was vexed about something that had nothing to do with me. Even though I was disgusted I still carried out getting my food because again I’m not going to let her attitude disrupt my morning routine. If she did not want to come to work, she should not have showed up especially with an attitude such as that. I’m never coming back there ever. The customer service is garbage and other people have complained about the same girl. This has to be resolved before someone actually acts on what they feel one day. That’s not a good look for the business!!

They only take cash after a certain time, yet, they never have enough cash in the register to give you your change. More than once I’ve been told they couldn’t pay me my change because they didn’t have enough cash. Mind you, each time the amount of change due was no more than a few dollars.... I used to come here because the Jerk Chicken was grilled on charcoal but, now it’s made in the oven like the other local Jamaican spots… therefore, now i’d rather go elsewhere and get my full amount of change if I'm going to be buying some regular oven-baked chicken. The only thing decent about them is that they’re actually open after hours unlike most stores in nyc that claim to be 24 hours. Other than that, the food is dry and cold like it's been sitting there all day.
