Lazy rude woman will literally sit there blasting her phone on max volume watching videos instead of taking your order. Place was also disgusting.

The food was horrible. My husband ordered oxtail with rice and cabbage. The oxtail weren't stewed down enough, the rice was hard and the cabbage didnt have much taste. He also ordered a side of plantains which weren't fully cooked. For $26 it was definitely a waste- he threw it away.

Spicy ass jerk chicken was phenomenal. There was a ton of options. So glad I was able find this joint. The price was great too.

I've gone there 3 times and 2 of The Times that I've gone there. The food was spoiled. I went there yesterday and spent $32. My whole plate smelled like garbage. Because the rice was bad. All of the other food was bad. They're selling spoiled food. I'm never going there again. Only thing that was good was the shrimp. And luckily, I don't have food poisoning. And they don't wanna give you your money back. Don't go here. You're gonna get food poison, they're selling spoiled food. All the food is spoiled. Please make sure you check any order you get i think the board of health need to check-in there cuz. That is nasty.

I recently went to Rusty, and boy I was disappointed! I ordered a chilli salmon, with bake macaroni, and a Pepsi. I was given piece of salmon and dried up macaroni. I was disgusted, it was warm and disgusting. Also I was charged $27 for a small plate of food. I have a picture to prove it. And just don't understand what happened to them. And I am a long time customer.
And I was at the spot on 7th and between 128th and 127th which was full, and I didn't want to wait, so I went to Rusty on 133rd st.
Rusty please do better, you are a signature in the neighborhood, but you have falling from grace.

Rude rude rude don’t go here

I don’t usually write food reviews but this here I can’t let go of. I usually eat rusty but lately food not cooking long enough. I don’t know who the chef is but this thing to get people sick. Curry chicken raw and pink. Never again!!! Lost a good loyal customer.

I ordered via UberEats on 7/13/25 and it was absolutely amazing! I was skeptical because of all of the negative reviews but my plate was got and fresh. I ordered the curry chicken, cabbage, rice and peas and macaroni and cheese. Everything was seasoned well and very flavorful

This is definitely my spot when I come to visit from NC. The food was delicious, not overpriced, and there is a lot of food.

Best oxtails I've ever had in my life!!! Not to be dramatic, but I could eat this every day.

Ordered the cow foot and rice and peas and the rice was sour. Do better man. Food too expensive to be serving overnight spoil rice. Cool small portions when it done put on a next pot.

If you go late at night, be careful. Anybody can run up on you. Have someone with you.

Customer service was awful. The lady behind the window was so impatient. Everything I ordered was lacking in flavor and they charged us $67 for two plates. I have NEVER paid this much at this location. This use to be the spot that had really good food and decent prices. But now it feels like a cash grab? I will never come back and will tell my friends to avoid this place.
