The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We ordered Paneer Butter Masala and Garlic Naan along with other items however they stood out as the best for me. I would definitely recommend this place if anyone is looking out for good quality Indian cuisine at Manhattan Times Square.

We had the most amazing time at Saar thanks to Lily and Ayana. Lily was our server and was very accommodating to our needs, and our host, Ayana, went above and beyond. She was very kind, bubbly, and charismatic, and she was so much fun to talk to!

I had a delightful lunch. Not too much spicy and masala. Having enjoyed my lunch I again order my dinner over the phone for pick up. It was so tasty and love it.

Stop researching places to eat on your vacation and just eat here. I get overwhelmed when I come to NYC by the unbelievable number of good restaurants that pop up when you search blogs or Google. I happened to just walk into this place for lunch and I am super impressed. The food was the perfect blend of traditional American-Indian food with a slight modern flair. I got the two course lunch — Samosa Sample as an app, then the butter chicken and garlic nan. I was a little jealous of the table eating lamb chops next to me. They were enjoying it as well. Everything was excellent. You will not be disappointed.

I visited an Authentic Indian Restaurant in Manhattan (SAAR) and had plain naan with butter. The quality was awesome – soft, warm, and full of flavor. The service was quick, and I really liked the ambiance. It felt cozy and welcoming. Overall, a great experience. I’d definitely like to visit again and try more from the menu!

Best place to enjoy a great curry in NYC. Service was very good. Selection of Indian dishes is huge. They have a superb Happy Hour on the bar. We decided to celebrate a pre-birthday dinner enjoying good Indian food. We were not disappointed. We even found a good Argentinean Malbec wine in the menu. The staff came to our table singing Happy Birthday with a dessert and a big candle. Menu prices do not reflect how expensive NYC has become now. If you like Indian food, do not hesitate to give it a try!
Good food; good service- bordering on hovering though; They should not charge $6 for small bowls of rice - it should come with the dishes!
Wonderful restaurant by the theatres. The food is spectacular and the service even better. Wonderful, nice kind people.
My girlfriend and I enjoyed our dinner. Our booth provided welcome extra space. The wine selection was good, the food and service excellent. A must return. We already recommended Saar to our colleagues. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Our favorite neighborhood Indian restaurant - very welcoming - great service and the food was yummy - we love the daal makani !
A beautiful and elegant little restaurant. This was some of the best Indian cuisine I've every had and we enjoyed it in a quiet and elegant atmosphere. The prices were quite reasonable. I highly recommend Saar Indian Bistro.
Excellent as always. One of my favorite theatre district restaurants in nyc. Best tandoori salmon and great lunch two course menu.
Beautifully presented and quite delicious. We had two appetizers — the eggplant was somewhat spicy and the potato was mild. Both were yummy. I had lamb curry my friend had butter chicken. Both sauces were good enough to drink. Our waitress checked what level of spice we preferred on each of our dishes; very considerate. We also had the potato mulch's bread which was fluffy and really good. The restaurant was quite full when we arrived so a bit noisy but we could still converse. Overall a really lovely meal.
Saar is not good— it's GREAT! Our food was decadently delicious. Best Indian food ever! The service was impeccable. And the restaurant is beautiful as well as (my late mother would be so proud) so clean! Even the rest room! We are definitely coming back! I'm thrilled to have found a go-to restaurant in the theater district. But I also will dine at Saar even when I'm not seeing a Broadway show.
