I love Sable’s and have for decades! It is far and away the best fish in all of NY. Everything is very fresh and delectable. The staff and owners are also amazing, professional, and a joy to be around. I look forward to my next visit to Sable’s!

Sable’s is a neighborhood staple with consistently amazing quality. The bagels and smoked fish are always fresh and the service is efficient. The place is also very clean and well-kept.

I’ve been to Sable’s a few times and always try to order something new—but it’s tough because their tuna and whitefish salad sandwiches are just too good! The customer service is always excellent, the food quality is consistently top-notch, and they serve everything quickly, so there’s hardly any wait.

As a longtime customer of Sable’s, I can confirm that the lobster salad sandwich is life-changing. (But really, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu!) When I first moved to New York, I lived around the corner. I didn’t realize how lucky I was… now I commute all the way from Brooklyn to treat myself!

I’ve been coming to Sable’s for as long as I remember (back when it was on 2nd Ave) and it is just as fresh and delicious! My go-to favorites are the whitefish salad, lobster salad, smoked Scottish salmon (hand sliced paper thin), and poached salmon. The staff are friendly and happy to help and offer suggestions if needed. Love that there is indoor and outdoor cafe seating. A true appetizing shop on the UES!

They lied about the orange juice being fresh squeeze and being offered and priced that way. It is Tropicana. Dont sale it for what is not. Good baggles but not telling the truth. I complained and got push back. Not right Merican business practice

Instead of nice thick slices of smoked salmon on my bagel I was given the scraps of the end of the day, and not many of those. I will never go back!

Whitefish salad on an everything bagel. Your standard bagel but the whitefish salad was terrible. Didn't taste like fish and the bagel had no bite.

How the nighty have fallen. $30+ for a soup and a bagel with lox. The bagel had one tiny slice of salmon. If they had their way, you'd pay $50 for a bagel and get a few crumbs. This place used to be great. I won't be going back.

I’ve been coming here for over 20 years and this is the first time I was ever spoken to rudely by a person behind the counter.

I have enjoyed their gefilte fish, the one that is not sweet. Their chopped live used to be great, it's decent now.
