Going to miss this place so much. Closed on 10/8/23 for good. Truly the end of an era to the best Vietnamese food in NYC!
Broth was delicious. They don't have the special combination pho like every other pho place though. But the large portion is good size and have a lot of noodles.Crispy spring rolls is a must try!

This is my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in New York City. They used to be on University Place. I’m glad they were able to reopen albeit a smaller but the same quality of food, service, and ambience. This restaurant is worth going to. My favorite dishes are Ga Nuong Xa and Bun Xao. Their food is authentic and delicious. The service is fast and efficient. The maitre D and staff are professional and yet warm and attentive. The price is very reasonable. I’m glad my go to restaurant is back.

Honestly I didn't think the food was that tasty. The calamari was OK. It was literally fried squid. No herbs, no black pepper, not much flavor. The soup was simply broth, chicken, and broken vermicelli. No vegetables whatsoever. No green onion. No Basel. No bean sprouts. I should have ordered the vegetable version. Otherwise the waiters were excellent. The restaurant is very clean and has private booths, small tables, and large tables.

La Sa Tom soup - is my favorite soup. Also Bo Lu Lac is amazing. ???Also I'll recommend pork chops, but next time I'll order spicy one.You have to come to this place!!!Highly recommend ? ? ? ? ?
Over the years, I’ve been to Saigon Grill on University Place a number of times so I was happy to see that they relocated over to my neighborhood. They replaced a Korean restaurant that formally occupied the space.I was pretty hungry, and I found the dishes, satisfying but somewhat lacking in interesting flavors and textures. Most of the dishes were passable, but mostly lackluster. The spring rolls were delicious and lightly fried. The service was friendly and competent. The room is nice enough, looks like a relatively quick and inexpensive remodel was done to the former Korean restaurant.I think they opened only recently, so I am hoping they will hit their stride soon. Since I live close by, I will give it another try in the near future.

So happy to hear they re-opened. I got scared for a moment. Stopped in late last night and they took care of us quickly. I've missed this place.

Grilled pork chop and Lasa Tom are my personal favorite . The taste is still the same all these years . Was disappointed with their Pad Thai version Bun Xao and the Chicken Wings - they lack the flavor that Thai’s pad thai has and the chicken wings Korean & Thai make .
Great news for those of you that had the opportunity to eat at Saigon Market on University Place. They had to move to this location. It's smaller and a few of the selections are gone, but the food is still the Best! I'm very happy to see them back serving some of the best food you could ever ever experience in Manhattan.
My favorite local restaurantPlease go
My favorite place in NYC… everything on the menu enhances your taste buds… during the pandemic I was so sad I couldn’t reach them… now here I am in their new cozy location a few blocks away from the past location. It’s a must TRY when you’re in the area and want to enjoy a tasty meal!
Very good Vietnamese restaurant, very good service, clean and well decorated, our favorite in the City. ??ordered for 2 people: love the Cha Gio (fried Spring Rolls) ordered that dish twice= 4 rolls each , 1 Beancurd salad with fried tofu to share and 2 Phô Bo, excellent beef broth.
Vegetarian options: For example: on the menu they have vegetarian fried spring rolls..
Kid-friendliness: Very pleasant. Good service
