Saiguette has a really excellent Banh Mi. The lemongrass pork shoulder is my absolute favorite, the spicy creamy sauce is delicious and the pork is juicy. The veggies inside are generously portioned and the bread is crispy and soft. I probably eat it once a week and its genuinely almost a perfect sandwich.

ordered a meal from Saiguette and it never came.
Called Saiguette and they said it was not their fault, and to call a phone number which was disconnected.
We never got our food!

Awful!

Best banh mi I've had in my life. My first time here, had the chicken thigh one.

Unfortunately, my take out order was not as I remember from the past. Spent $80.00 and only the shrimp dumplings, ribs and pork sandwich was decent. The noodle soup (beef) broth with vegetables had No taste. Not sure what type of meat I received, but I ordered beef which was tough and not edible The veggies needed to be cooked as it seemed as if they were just thrown on top of the broth. The salmon, not fresh and very dry with vegetables (came with white rice). I should have known better. It seems as if many businesses, when you do pick up or delivery orders they do not care about the quality of the food. Needless to say, this establishment has been crossed off of my restaurant list. Advice to others, write reviews, check your order and complain to the BBB. This service is unacceptable.

The Bahn Mi is fantastic. The pho? Not so much. The broth was severely lacking a depth of flavor.

I have been ordering from Saigette and getting it delivered to 151 W 100 St since 2013 and always got the steak entrée which includes rice and salad.

Today, I decided to go inside and get my usual entrée which ballooned to $21 from 12. Upon receiving the take-out, I realized that everything was packaged separately. Before, the container had separate compartment for the salad and rice.

When I finally got to the steak, my heart dropped. This time the steak was thinly sliced, 4 strips of beef that was 5 inches long and 2 inches wide. This steak was tough chewy and had no flavor. The price went up and the quality is non-existent.

I will not be returning to my favorite spot anymore. Did this go through an ownership change? If yes, please like.

Update: Gave it another try and so glad I did. Banh mi is consistently tasty and I’ve had no issues with any other orders. Starting to skimp on portion but still very good.

Delicious until finding hair on food
