I'm surprised by all of the reviews on here suggesting that this place is authentic Basque food. The octopus is served with black beans (!), the croquetas were short rib, and the gin and tonics are served in tall collins glasses for god's sake. Also, they ran out of steak for our 8pm dinner reservation, which is like prime time when you should not be running out of anything unless you're creating a fake demand like a Rolo's burger. If you want to call this restaurant's food "fusion," then that would be fine. However, this is hardly authentic Basque cuisine, which is why I'm giving it to 3 stars. I just expected more based on the third-party accolades and Chef Bollo's background - him being from San Sebastian and all, I don't know how he sleeps at night with this menu, lol. Also, the space is very narrow and the music was bumping like a clubby scene, which is fine if you want that sort of thing. I just wasn't expecting it and it's not my preferred dining experience. Overall, a solid 3 - I definitely didn't have any trouble trying to decide between a 3 and a 4.

Excellent experience! Wonderful chuletón with vegetables sides and very enjoyable sangria. Fabian gave us a very warm and caring service as well as Vivian. We loved the atmosphere and the food’s quality is A+!!! We absolutely recommend the Salinas dining experience!

Incredible service right when we walked in the hostess was super friendly and sat us at the bar for a drink since we arrived early then sat us in the main room, loved getting to experience both bar and the dining room, the drinks and food were out of this world, the owner was there and was super friendly explained the food and different dishes/drinks along with the history of the place, really great music too, the dj is ?
