So good! Very cool atmosphere. They dropped some pickled radish and kimchi on the table which was nice. They gave us salads too and the dressing was delicious, whatever it was. We had the kimchi fried rice with chicken katsu, beef skewers, and fried chicken. All very tasty. I was full but I couldn’t stop eating. The owner is a ball of gracious energy. Music was nice. Definitely a goto spot in Kip’s Bay.

To be fair enough the egg kimchi fried rice was overhyped because the egg would stick on to the pan and it wouldn’t come off which I have to scrape it off. I think food is decent enough but not worth the hype whatsoever.

This was my first time here and the food was amazing. The kimchi was the best ive tried before. Not to mention the atmosphere was so calming and comforting. The seating was really nice and we got seated fast. The food also came out fast. Not to mention the bathrooms were super clean.

This restaurant is extremely underrated. My very first experience here and I am in awe! All staff were very friendly, many refills on water & sides, and the food was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is unlike many restaurants in the city, it is more spacious and has soo much room. Not to mention, the bathroom is spotless as well. Go support them!

Food is very mediocre. Everything is overly sweetened in flavors. The cold noodles were far below average—we couldn’t even finish them. Service and interior are fine.

Great food. A little pricey and hidden away but a great spot in an area lacking good food options.

The manager and the waiter are absolutely insane. Served my friend pine nuts inside a dumpling and then started blaming my friend for having an allergic reaction?? The manager started screaming at our group for our friend needing to go the hospital???? Brother what??? Dumplings were decent though. Change up the management.

Absolutely delicious food and drinks, kind staff that doesn’t rush you, and comfortable seating. Had a great dinner last night. Enjoyed their version of a Moscow mule and a selection of shareable plates. So so good.

We went to Sam Sunny for dinner on a Monday night. The restaurant wasn’t that busy so a reservation might not have been necessary. We were quickly seated.

We ordered a couple of items and the food came out at a reasonable pace. The banchan was great, maybe my favorite out of everything we ate there. The rest of the food we ordered all had a slightly sweet flavor to them that felt overwhelming by the end.

The staff were really friendly and were pretty on top of the service. Overall I would recommend you check them out.

Great Korean outside of K town cleaner and better interior than those restaurants in K town.

Good food and drinks, good service. I got the spicy chicken galbi, it was great. Not very spicy as the name suggests though. My girlfriend got the spicy braised beef but said it was too saucy. I thought she was being dramatic cause I do know Korean food tends to go heavy with the gochujang/sweet sauce but I’ll be real that bowl was legit a soup of sauce lol. Banchan was also a little lacking compared to what I’ve seen in similar spots in the city. Also try to get a table on the edges of the restaurant(or better yet a booth). They have a station in the middle of the restaurant (right outside the kitchen) where they handle drinks/dishes. Multiple times mid conversation was just interrupted by crashing of plates 😅. I know it’s not fine dining by any means but it still gets to you lol. Anyways pretty good overall, I’ll be back

My daughter and I immensely enjoyed our dinner here this evening. The beef bulgogi and kimchi fried rice were excellent. Everything was hot and fresh. I will definitely return it in the area again.

Really good banchan’s (side dishes) and even better Korean food. Reminded me of my mom’s home cooked meals - will definitely be coming back!
