One of the best Italian restaurants on the UES. Sandro and his family are wonderful hosts and the food is outstanding. Highly recommended.

We love this intimate and tasty restaurant. The service is attentive and atmosphere quiet but clientele lively.

The food is delicious if a tad pricey. The lemon spaghetti brought me right back to Positano and the roasted red snapper was perfection. The breadsticks deserve all the press they're given and be careful not to fill up on the scrumptious bruschetta made with the sweetest marzano tomatoes I've ever eaten. Be sure to save room for the dreamy gelato in an abundance of different flavors!

I went to Sandro's thinking that I was going to get a real authentic Italian meal by erroneously thinking that the pretentious prices would satisfy my palate. I was wrong. I didn't like eating food which is meant to go into the garbage. I paid $66 for caesar salad, a sparkling water and a chicken that made me nauceous. I left without eating another bite. The good side of the restaurant is that it is a great place to bring guests to drink wine as long as they don't order any food.

Service was great, they have a great selection of wines and the food was amazing. I the spaghetti con vongole and my friend the spaguettini al limone. They both were delicious. We finoshed with tiramisu and the sampler of digestives. Hope to come back soon

This is not my first visit to Sandros but I think the restaurant is overrated/inferior. The people are nice. But that is when the good feelings end. The food was not good. The tomatoes in my Caprese were not ripe and not tasty. I had Scalopine Al Limone which was not very good at all. The veal was tough/not tender. And the Limone sauce was not very interesting. The menu did not say what the dish comes with, so when I saw this unappetizing hunk of mashed potatoes , I had to ask what it was. Some green beans or broccoli would have been much better. Secondly, the restaurant is overpriced. They charged $51 for this veal dish that was inferior to what i can cook. There are many Italian restaurants on the UES that are better and less expensive.

Feels like I'm having dinner with family. Food always excellent. Lemon pasta is legendary. Can't say enough good things— and the bar is set quite high for NYC Italian. This is one of the best.

Excellent food and service. Delicious seasonal Italian food at a fair price. Had a tasty affogato for dessert!

A true neighborhood gem! Service and food outstanding! The staff was not pushy, spacing between courses was perfect. The icing on the cake was the complementary grappa and homemade lemon cookie at the end of the night. Highly recommend!

Best Italian restaurant in town! Tried the vitello bolognese, the fettuccine bolognese, suppli and burrata... everything was delicious! For dessert we tried gelato, tiramisu, and a pistachio semi-freddo that was amazing. It was so good that we had to return the day after.

It was an incredible experience. I arrived an hour before reserved time and they welcomed me an immediately sat me without hesitation. Ordered a Burrata which was outstanding; for the main course I ordered Lemon Pasta, simply the best I've had. For dessert I had a Tiramisu, with an espresso and an Amirone Riserva.
