Hidden gem!Wonderful, strong margaritas. Loved their nachos, mushroom quesadilla was wonderfully buttery, and everything we tried was top notch. Service was super attentive and fast. Got us in and out in time for the theater.

A little pricey, came out to about 300 for 5 people but great overall experience here with said party of 5. Food tasted amazing and the service/atmosphere was superb. Try the chipotle chicken!

The cuisine was good, with generous servings. Everything was pleasant but not especially memorable, and the fish had a crispy texture. The taste was not especially similar to weirdly prepared meals. Even though the house was mostly vacant, the staff was nonetheless somewhat distracted and neglected to bring the correct check and part of the order.

What a decline! I've been going to this wonderful family owned restaurant for 15 years. Pandemic losses forced the 3rd generation of owners to co-sign with the landlord to survive. The day after Thanksgiving 2022 the landlord FIRED the family owners for no other reason than to take advantage of post-pandemic recovery and force the steal of their business. But they have (had) the best burger and fries in town! So 3 times now I have (guiltily) ordered it, delivery, as before. The fries are now mysteriously soggy, the burger is always overdone, and NO attention is paid to requests as simple as 'onion on the side, please', even though that used to be standard. It's just gone. Not an option. Even when one asks nicely. I finally have to accept that Santa Fe has gone from an UWS delicious and welcoming haven to shockingly mediocre. ?

Not sure how this place doesn't have a better rating. The food is fantastic, I have never had a bad dish. I usually get the chipotle chicken! And the margaritas are beyond good!

Wonderful dinner at Santa Fe last night. It started out with an issue with our reservation. The manager, Liz, was wonderful in moving things around to accommodate us. She was so sweet and helpful. We had the best chipolte chicken covered in the most delicious sauce. The freshly made guacamole was superb. The yummy skirt steak quesadilla was filled with the most tender steak. Despite the restaurant being filled the service was excellent. We are Santa Fe converts and will be back often.

Yum yum YUM! Seriously. I've been to this establishment numerous times and never felt disrespected or dismissed. Both the outpost and the inside eating, very pleasant lighting, Ivan S, VERY satisfied customer

I recently dined at this outstanding Mexican restaurant in NYC, and I can't stop raving about it! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting ambiance. The menu offered a tantalizing array of authentic Mexican dishes that left my taste buds dancing with delight.I got the enchiladas, which were a true masterpiece. Filled with tender, perfectly seasoned meat and smothered in a rich, flavorful sauce, each bite was a burst of deliciousness. The margaritas were expertly crafted, striking the ideal balance of sweetness and tang, and they paired beautifully with my meal. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the cuisine. If you're in NYC and craving an unforgettable Mexican dining experience, this restaurant is a must-visit!!!!

Used to be one of my favorite restaurants (for the last 25 years - probably been 200+ times) but apparently the owners daughter took over recently and destroyed the menu. Really sad to see from one of the longest standing consistent upper west side restaurants. Would suggest they go back to their old ways at least if they want maintain their core clientele base.Tito (one of the key staff members) is still there and the best guy, at least new management kept him on board.
