Really good pastrami and friendly service.
1. I love the way it looks, inside and out. When I enter, I feel like I'm stepping back in time, back to NYC I remember and love. 2. The food is the real deal: high quality, authentic Jewish-style deli, served in generous portions (I ate 1/2 of my large sandwich there and took the other 1/2 with me for a meal the next day). 3. Free side dish of delicious cole slaw and pickles. 4. What's not to like? 😃
Very interesting venue. Food was okay. Must have been something special back in the day. Plenty of stars have been there. Great place for those who interested in that sort of history.

Their food (Sarges Deli) is delicious and they give enough for an army. The Chefs Salad lasts me for 3 meals at least. And the sandwiches on a club roll is 2 meals and there is usually so much on the club that I can make 1 or 2 more on the rye bread they include for no charge. They are extremely generous in their portions and they also give small containers of mustard and mayo and extra dressing and anything else you ask for. They also include mouth watering pickles. You definitely get your money’s worth of food from Sarges !

Very good sandwich! This was the Corned beef & pastrami combo sandwich! Enough for two!
We'll definitely be back.
So far we've eaten pastrami sandwiches at the competition downtown and today we went to Sarge's.
There is a world of difference, you are served, you get a table, both assigned and without waiting.
We were there for dinner around 1720 hours and got a table straight away. As soon as we sat down, we were offered something to drink.
We shared 1 sandwich and still received 2 portions of coleslaw and double cucumbers, very attentive.
If you pay in cash you get a 10% discount, but card payments are also possible.
Next time we'll have your cheesecake, it looked so delicious.
Thank you for the delicious food and the good service

The service was great! The pastrami was delicious and yummy. The meatloaf was a bit on the dry side , though. Our orders got mixed up and we ate a hot dog by mistake, whichwas very stupid of us but the server was really nice! The Knish that we were told to try was also good but no wow factors there! We loved the atmosphere and the service.

We can’t rave enough about this place. The pastrami is beyond amazing and the peanut butter cheesecake is life changing, don’t sleep on it! It’s better some of the “greats” in NYC, don’t forget to save room for it or at least take it home.

OK the pastrami was totally tender and tasty. But I was a bit surprised by how little of it we got considering the price. And the potato salad we ordered was just potatoes, mayo and sugar. Really below average. Finally, my egg cream was quite good but milk, chocolate syrup and seltzer for $6? Sorry that’s ridiculous.
So while I loved the pastrami, I just had too many issues with the other stuff to make it more than average.

My favorite deli in NYC. The kind of place to go to when you are craving real food without the high prices of Katz's deli or the touristy feel of Carnegie deli. We had a selection of meats (enough for three), some copped liver, and some real rye bread. The food was excellent and the wait staff were attentive. It was a great NYC meal.

Highest wuality NY deli food available. Worth every penny. Where real New Yorkers go for deli. I am 58 years old. I can go amywhere, or have any food delivered to my NJ home, but i go out of my way to eat on or pick up food from Sarges. For 40 years.
