I had a vegan unreal sandwich. It’s just rolled up bad quality vegan ham. Unreal how bad and lazy it is. Vegans stay away at all costs!

A must visit to the legendary Sarge’s whilst in New York. The place is quite small and looks dated, probably to keep the feel. Outstanding service, unbeatable. The pastrami on rye was soft and tender, however, it was a little bland, seasoning needed. I have never tried Matzo ball soup and was so keen after seeing all the reviews. Probably just me, but it’s like soft corn bread in chicken soup. Nothing wrong with it, but I’m not going to rave about it ! Great Colombian coffee, the pickles, I have had way better tbh. I’m glad I’ve been, I will try Katz next.

I was sat at a table that seem to be the extension of The wait staffs booth the table was used to fill condiment bottles and anything else the waitress wanted to just place there only my little corner where I sat was clean I wasn't placed at a regular table or in a booth I really didn't like that The corned beef corn rye was very good with coleslaw but I did not like the fact that I was sat at this particular table that was used for everything I ordered a double corned beef $30 and I found that when you pile meat in the middle and cut the sandwich It's hardly any meat around the edges so it just looks as though you have a big sandwich and you actually don't not sure if I would go back if I did it would be for something else

Walking into Sarge’s I knew the food would be genuinely delicious. The restaurant immediately gave the old school, original deli impression.

The french onion soup was the best I’ve tried. I am not a fan of pastrami on rye as a dish, but I could easily tell this was probably as good as the dish can get. The pastrami was tender and perfectly seasoned.

Definitely recommend dining here.

1. I love the way it looks, inside and out. When I enter, I feel like I'm stepping back in time, back to NYC I remember and love. 2. The food is the real deal: high quality, authentic Jewish-style deli, served in generous portions (I ate 1/2 of my large sandwich there and took the other 1/2 with me for a meal the next day). 3. Free side dish of delicious cole slaw and pickles. 4. What's not to like? 😃

Very interesting venue. Food was okay. Must have been something special back in the day. Plenty of stars have been there. Great place for those who interested in that sort of history.

Their food (Sarges Deli) is delicious and they give enough for an army. The Chefs Salad lasts me for 3 meals at least. And the sandwiches on a club roll is 2 meals and there is usually so much on the club that I can make 1 or 2 more on the rye bread they include for no charge. They are extremely generous in their portions and they also give small containers of mustard and mayo and extra dressing and anything else you ask for. They also include mouth watering pickles. You definitely get your money’s worth of food from Sarges !

We'll definitely be back.
So far we've eaten pastrami sandwiches at the competition downtown and today we went to Sarge's.
There is a world of difference, you are served, you get a table, both assigned and without waiting.
We were there for dinner around 1720 hours and got a table straight away. As soon as we sat down, we were offered something to drink.
We shared 1 sandwich and still received 2 portions of coleslaw and double cucumbers, very attentive.
If you pay in cash you get a 10% discount, but card payments are also possible.
Next time we'll have your cheesecake, it looked so delicious.

Thank you for the delicious food and the good service
