PLEASE VISIT THIS PLACE IF YOU ARE IN THE NABE - OR LIVE ON THE UES.I came in yesterday evening and the owner informed me that this place is closing by the end of the month. Can't make the increased rent over the past few months. The food is absolutely outstanding! Best Hoagies (or HERO'S -- I'm from Philly... ) in Manhattan with BoarsHead deli products. My heart was broken for him. A very pleasant man. Always easy to chat with.
Review is for their homemade Indian food. I have been few times : First time - butter chicken with rice and samosas - both were delicious !! Second time - a vegetarian combo - aloo baingan (potato and eggplant curry) and Rajma (red kidney bean curry) with rice for $12.99. They were both so good and homestyle. Generous portion.
