The restaurant was very dirty, greasy everywhere! The toilets are a horror, I don't want to imagine what the kitchen is like. Plus unfriendly staff.

Stopped by Schnippers near Times Square and had the mac n cheese and an Impossible Burger. The food was decent — nothing mind-blowing, but it hit the spot. That said, it felt pretty overpriced for what you get. I get that it’s in a touristy area, but still expected a bit more value for the price. Solid option if you’re nearby and craving comfort food, but not something I’d go out of my way for.

I waited 15 minutes for my order.
The quantity did not match the price.
The salted caramel shake was subpar.
The chicken was slightly flavorful.
One of the onion rings was undercooked.

My third time. Sooooo convenient being directly across the street from the 41st (not 42nd) Street Port Authority building. Very friendly prices and a cute and clean atmosphere. My friend and I both had Fresh Beet and Goat Cheese salad $13 (dried cranberries, scallions, toasted walnuts, ciabatta croutons, vinaigrette). My friend loved it and ate the whole thing. I didn't like it because I despise cranberries in salad. Dried fruit in a savory salad is not my thing. There were TONS of cranberries and only a few pieces of beets, which are the same color. It's right on the menu, with cranberries being the first item, so Schnipper's still gets a 5. So many other things to order. House fries $5 were great. I took most of it home and ate it minus the cranberries at midnight! Fries in toaster oven were great. Next time I could get any one of these:
1: Schnipper's Slaw Kale and cabbage $5.50
2: Charred Broccoli With lemon and chiles $5.50 (minus the chiles)
3: Baby Arugula With grape tomatoes, Grana Padano, and house vinaigrette $5.50
4: Grilled Fresh Corn Esquites (Mexican street corn off the cob) $5.50
or BINGO:
5: The Veggie Boy (Vegetable patty with guacamole, plum tomato, red onion, and spicy radish sprouts on an Orwasher’s whole wheat roll) $12.50 vegan
Delightful menu and equally delightful staff. Go!!

My wife is a celiac. We both had the chicken fingers and fries (both are gluten free). We liked them so much that my wife wants this to be our first stop the next time we go back to NYC. My wife had no reactions or symptoms whatsoever.
Highly recommend for a tasty lunch and especially for celiac.
The service and atmosphere are fine - no complaints.

Great place to take the kids! Lots and lots of seating inside as well as some outdoor seating. Big American menu. Beware everything is individually priced unless you purchase a plate. A little on the pricey side, but not unreasonable for New York.
Nice option for quick dining when you’re on your way to another event. Food was delicious. I had the Greek salad and it did not disappoint. Other people in our party had the burgers fries and sweet potato fries, and there wasn’t much left on the plates after :-)
Kid-friendliness: Yep, big win for kids. Kid, friendly, fair, kid, friendly, seating, bathrooms.
Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to get in and out for a wheelchair. You do have to roll through a line at the counter, but very doable.

Great cheeseburgers! I think I like theirs more than Shake Shack and 5 Guys. The fries are good, too!

I visited Schnipper’s and was delighted by their signature chicken schnitzel. The schnitzel was crispy and tender. The inviting atmosphere and service enhanced the meal, leaving me with a memorable dining experience that I can’t wait to repeat.
