$35.00 for lump crabmeat all the pieces were cut up in the same symmetrical sizes, folks lump crabmeat doesn't come that way --this isn't crabmeat, it vaguely tastes like crabmeat. So when you're thinking about buying lump crabmeat skip, skip, skip to my Lou away from this place my darlings! Been there, done that won't do it again! :0(

It's the only place I know close to Hell's kitchen that has fresh seafood daily. I find everything I would like to buy like fresh uni and calamari

Nice neighborhood seafood market that has a good selection of fresh and packed seafoods. The fish selection is good and there is a cooked section in the back.

Integrity, Dependability, and Good Judgment matter in business. The workers in this business operate in a dubious and questionable manner, which casts doubt on the business’s services, practices, and compliance with U.S. laws related to its dealings with the public. My family discovered this market a little over a year ago. This small business was an instant hit for its reliable and dependable fresh fish (not to mention we were supporting a small business). Despite facing economic challenges—like many U.S. families, not on the government’s bailout list—we made sure to tip the workers as generously as we could (about 25% of our order) to show our gratitude and support for this small business and its workers.A few months ago, a worker at the register changed the poundage of our order (which we noted on the scale), so that the overall price paid was less. At the time we were confused: was it a sale that hadn’t been listed? Were the prices shown inaccurate? We were told “don’t worry” and put it out of our minds. This week, in preparation for the Thanksgiving holiday, we saved our hard-earned money to purchase from what has become our favorite fish market in New York City. We noted the weight of the order on the scale, and asked the register worker to confirm the order total (it’s normal for us to verify and confirm transactions in this manner: two pairs of eyes are better than one), but were told to hold (wait) until a separate worker passed. We were then told a price 20% lower than what we ordered. We realized this was not an accident, and that a worker (who was not the business owner) had reduced the price—and seemingly without authority: he waited until another worker would not witness the transaction in question. We handed him the full price—declining the questionable discount. He handed us a receipt showing an amount 40% less than what we paid! We were astounded, wished him a Happy Thanksgiving, and left. (We do not know what the worker did with the 40% not shown on the register receipt.)Please do NOT do this.We are law-abiding Americans, and do not cheat anyone. We are Small Business owners ourselves, and strive to be fair, just, honest and in compliance with ALL laws, regulations, and standards of decency (even as New York descends into deeper and darker lawlessness, crime, injustice, and corruption in EVERY sphere – from business, to politics, to schools). All persons MUST be treated equal in business (politics and schools too), and we would be greatly offended if we witnessed others receiving treatment preferential to us at an establishment that we supported (not to mention the other obvious harms and injustices shown on the face of this transaction: the Small Business seemed to cheated in this transaction as well). George Santos and Bob Menendez (and wife) didn’t happen in a vacuum. The issue with people (and businesses) that lack integrity, character, and honor is that you never know which corners they may have cut: do I have to be concerned about the quality of fish I purchased? Did you cut corners on sanitation, inspection, or care of the food products you sell? Please restore integrity to this business. The WORLD is watching. We should ALL strive to be a beacon of light and justice in ALL that we do.From my family to yours, we wish you a warm, justice-filled, and happy holiday season.FYI – we will be happy to write a positive review once we are sure the dubious practices have been permanently remedied at this establishment.

I was undeci ed whether to patronize this stoe the first time i walked in three i asked for s fod a d the young man. Ehind the counter tried to sell me something else but schod is pretty unique,My neighbor an army vet loves fish a d lately has been shopping bere.he asked them to filet 4 pieces for $10.00 a d tried to use his ebt. card the clerk rang up $40 then denied that he did,and the maa ger refused to cancel the tranaction.I forgot to mention that the first time i went in here what struck me was the smell of rotting fish, but after reading some of these reviews on yelpabout food poi5,and the lack of sanitization i would say you're taking a big chance, you an get really fresh fish at the farmers market these guys cautch themselves and are usually sold out at the end of the day.

The old white guy is rude I made an order in advance then I send my guy to pick the order up they was inside the store standing there!!! The order was ready but because it was closeing time the owner or partner refused to open the door to give him the order saying they was closed!!! They had closed by 2 mins!!!! My guy stood there in front telling the guy we made an order allready, but the guy meanly said no!!!! Good bussiness is when the customer make the order it's only right that you give the customer that small service!!!! After all it's the customers that pay everything rent lights workers your net for your bank account!!!!!! I stopped going there now since 3 years!!!!!

I don't eat seafood but my daughter does and she ordered the baby octopus here and was violently ill. I do not think their hygiene is that great and would not go back or buy anything there again.
