Definitely coming back. Had an amazing experience.
I made a last-minute, same-day reservation here and was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. The prices were reasonable, and the freshness of the fish exceeded my expectations. The presentation was vibrant, and I especially loved being able to choose from the charming selection of sake cups. Overall, it was a delightful experience, and I would highly recommend dining here!
Tastes great, portion is bit small for the price.
Sorry for the blurry photos. We visited Sekai Omakase to celebrate an upcoming graduation and were really satisfied with the 16-course omakase experience. The price was $108 per person (excluding tax and tip). Depending on your preference, you can opt for a sake pairing by the glass, and there are also additional pieces available, as shown in the photos.
The chefs and servers were mostly Chinese, but we had no issues communicating with them. They provided warm, attentive, and sophisticated service, and the ingredients were incredibly fresh.
During our session, I noticed that all of the other guests were Asian, which surprised me, but it didn’t affect our experience in any way. Overall, I’d highly recommend Sekai Omakase for a memorable dining experience!
Street parking only.
Great food, intimate atmosphere, great beer selection (of 2).
Overall delicious food, the chefs are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. I would highly recommend this place for a fun, casual night out.
Sushi was very fresh and mostly from japan. The appetizers were delicious and service was great. The dessert was buckwheat pudding made in house, which I have not seen sold anywhere else in nyc. So good! Overall great experience!

Sekai Omakase is amazing! The best in NYC! They offer a cozy and intimate setting for sushi lovers. The courses features fresh, seasonal ingredients, with standout pieces like melt-in-your-mouth tuna and delicate uni. The chef is super friendly and explains each course without being overbearing. Overall the quality made the experience worthwhile and I’d defintely recommend this place to all my friends.

Experience at Sakai Omakase was beyond my expectations. I booked the reservation ahead to make sure I got seats for my anniversary. I got there on time and lucky enough to find a street parking space as you know finding a parking in Soho is not that easy. The restaurant is on basement and no sign outside, it looks like many omakase place like to do nowadays.
Service was great and always pay attention to what customers need. Excellent quality of food for the price I pay. I'm glad I picked this place to celebrate the special day. Recommended.

The omakase is not good. The fish is not quality or fresh. When they use the flame all of the pieces are unevenly or overcooked. The place as soon as you enter smells damp and like mold may be growing. For the price it is not worth it. I would not price this place more than 50-60$ at best.

An exquisite culinary journey that unfolds in layers of flavor, each bite a meticulous composition. This omakase experience offers a densely woven tapestry of sensations that dance on the palate. The chef's artistry is evident in every morsel, presenting a harmonious blend of textures and tastes that reveal themselves gradually. What sets this experience apart is the chef's commentary - akin to a skillful documentary narration, it complements each dish without overshadowing the tasting experience. Their measured explanations flow naturally, enhancing our understanding and appreciation without interrupting the meal's rhythm. The staff's warm professionalism further enriches the serene ambiance. In this tranquil haven, the interplay of flavors, subtle explanations, and gentle service creates an evening that resonates in memory long after the last exquisite bite.
