first dim sum meal in a very long time at seng seafood today. we'd been once or twice before and had really liked it (probably a 4 or 5 star review if i rated my other visits in prior years). their prices used to be the same for all dish sizes, and presumably is still the same. our bill came out to $55 before tip for 10 items (which fed 3 adults and 1 child and are definitely not all pictured here ... was too hungry). the bill did include two shrimp cheung fun (rice rolls)...
I came here with my uncle 70th Birthday. He chose the restaurant. I was a bit skeptical if the food is going to be any good. It’s not the top, and not the worst. I enjoyed the food. My kids ate and ate. As long as my kids like the food, I am happy m. :) my favorites are the pig intestines with fired milk. Highly recommend this restaurant in the out of the way place in Chinatown.
This place was packed but we got seated relatively quickly in the late morning with a reservation for our party of 8. I loved everything we tried - shrimp dumplings, fried dough, fried shrimp, the list goes on. The service was fast and I will say it really really helped having someone in our party who spoke Cantonese but we did get by with a lot of pointing and earnest nodding. Honestly there are so many options I'm just gonna have to come back here again.
