Seoul Salon is such a trendy and aesthetic restaurant and the food didn't disappoint. I'd definitely recommend making reservations because it was all packed for a Thursday dinner. To start the meal, they give this crispy ramen cracker snack with a hot sauce drizzled on top and it was so nostalgic to the snacks I used to eat when I was younger. The whole menu looked so delicious, but I ended up trying the Soy Scallop with Gim Rice, Rose Tteokbokki with Gimmari, and the Seoul Salon Fried Chicken. The soy scallops were fresh and full of flavor. The Gim rice paired perfectly with the scallops as well. The Rose tteokbokki reminded me of eating a margherita pizza because of the cheese and basil toppings with the sauce. Iloved the Gimmari that came with the dish; it was nicely fried and dipping it into the sauce was perfection. The fried chicken took me by surprise. The batter was so crispy and airy and the chicken was so juicy and flavorful. The sauce had a good spice kick and it was only drizzled lightly on half of the chicken, so none of the chicken got soggy and it's great for people who can't handle the spice. Overall had a great experience at Seoul Salon. I would come back again and again.

Another good restaurant under Hand Hospitality. Went for dinner for the first time and the food was very good. I liked most of the items we ordered. My first time trying raw marinated crabs and they were very tasty! Spices in the marinade were well balanced and the crab meat was fresh and creamy. The scallop rice was also very good. The rice cake dish was rich as expected so careful if you don’t like something heavy. I also enjoyed the spice squid because it came with cheesed barley rice. Only disappointment was the clam soup. The clams were huge but the meats were hard to eat. Overall good place to get Korean comfort food and friendly service, will come back.

Seoul Salon NYC is a charming spot with a unique vibe that leaves you feeling a bit intrigued. The food is solid, though not exactly fireworks for your taste buds. We started with the scallops over rice, which were fresh, but could have used a little more zing to really stand out. The cuttlefish was fresh as well, but it felt like it was missing a bit of seasoning to elevate it. The pork hoc was the highlight of the meal; flavorful and satisfying, though still not quite packing the punch I was hoping for.

The restaurant has a nice ambiance, but there's a feeling that it could be a bit more original in its offerings. The pricing seems a little on the higher side for what you get, but it's definitely not a bad experience. My main suggestion would be for the service to be a bit warmer; it would really help make the meal feel more welcoming. Overall, Seoul Salon is a pleasant place to dine, though it leaves you hoping for a little more excitement on the plate and in the atmosphere.

I seriously think they took the fried chicken directly from McDonald and resell it. What’s the most ridiculous part is that they still ask for a $40 minimum spending per person when they have such a mediocre food and short menu. Would never go here ever again.

The floating circle on your website is such hostile design. What if I have mobility issues and can't move my mouse as quickly?

Good food, but arguably a bit expensive for what it is. Ambience is just a little louder than I'd like but we sat at the bar.

While the scallops and Rose Tteokbokki were delicious, I was surprisingly blown away by the Fried Sweet Potato, and I'm not a sweet potato fan.

It was one of those hot summer days in NYC where I didn’t want Korean BBQ but was in Koreatown. The only solution was a bowl of cold noodles. The location is very spacious and the service was excellent. Not much of a smoke smell from other tables so good ventilation.

At Seoul Salon NYC, a contemporary Korean spot nestled in the heart of Koreatown, the small plates menu offers both thoughtful composition and bold flavor profiles—though not without the occasional overreach.

We began with the mala pork sliders and grilled tteokgalbi sliders—each offering a compact, well-executed bite. The tteokgalbi, in particular, stood out for its balance of savory and sweet, while the mala pork delivered a subtle numbing heat without overwhelming the palate.

The spicy corn cheese arrived bubbling and generously topped with cheese—comforting but heavy, and the heat verged on overpowering, overshadowing the dish’s creamy richness. Diners sensitive to spice may find it difficult to fully appreciate.

The Seoul Salon fried chicken was a return to form: superbly crispy, with a lacquered glaze that hinted at Thai chili while leaning into gochujang's familiar depth. Sweet, spicy, and well-textured, it was an elevated take on a crowd-pleaser.

The evening's highlight, however, was the spicy octopus with bori risotto—a dish that walked the line between indulgence and restraint. Upon our request, the kitchen graciously toned down the spice, allowing the tender octopus and creamy, barley-based risotto to shine. The result was a refined yet comforting plate, thoughtfully balanced and beautifully executed.

To close, we shared a bottle of makgeolli—a fitting end to the meal. Lightly effervescent and slightly sweet, it served as a refreshing contrast to the richness of the dishes and underscored Seoul Salon’s commitment to honoring Korean drinking traditions with modern sensibility.

All of this played out against the backdrop of a neon-lit interior that felt both nostalgic and futuristic. The vibrant glow cast a playful energy across the industrial-chic space, evoking the spirit of Seoul’s nightlife while offering a polished New York edge. It’s a vibe that complements the menu’s ambition and makes the overall experience as visually engaging as it is flavorful.

Horrible experience. Didn't know this type of place had a time limit. If so, should notify on their reservation platform. Ordered so many dishes and drinks and we were still rushed out. Totally ruined my night.

The food was good but the flavors were not remarkable. Favorite was the scallop. I would return to try other dishes, and the service was good! Very nice vibes and aesthetic.

Great portions, reasonable price, and unique flavors in a cool, sleek setting. Service was attentive.

The tteokbokki had a bouncy bite, accompanied with basil and cheese that imparted a creamy texture and umami flavor. I enjoyed the refreshing crunch of the pine salad to cut the richness of the tteokbokki and fried chicken. The fried chicken was wonderful. Extra crispy while retaining the chicken’s moisture. A perfect meal.

Came for dinner, the ambiance and atmosphere was really cool. The food was decently good, I got the fried chicken which I rate a 8.5/10, raw crab noodles 9/10, the pork platter 8/10, spicy beef ramen 7/10, rose tteokbokki 8.5/10, cheese corn with pork 8.5/10 (really spicy). Overall enjoyed the food but it did taste a bit salty. Not the best Korean food I ever had but it was overall good.

Went for snacks and everything was solid. The fried chicken was a bit underwhelming but will go back to try some of the entrees
