I went for Thanksgiving dinner with my 12-year-old daughter and we both ordered ravioli — I had the pumpkin one (the Thanksgiving special) and she had the spinach and ricotta. When the plates arrived, we honestly thought they had brought out kids' meals, and not even for older kids — for small children. I have never seen such tiny portions in a restaurant. My daughter never manages to finish a full dish when we eat out, and even before the food arrived she asked if she could take the leftovers back to the hotel. When we saw the plates, we just laughed. There was nothing to take home. We ended up ordering a dessert each because we were still hungry. If you go, I'd suggest skipping the ravioli. I did see other dishes going by and they looked like a normal, reasonable size. The food was tasty, but the portion size became the running joke of our Thanksgiving dinner.

Food was delicious and the service was great. It was a little noisy but the food and service made up for it.

I went to Serafina on Saturday night, and while the food was excellent, flavorful, well-prepared and exactly what I expect from a nice Italian restaurant, the experience was overshadowed by poor management. We’ve been to this location many times, and unfortunately we’ve noticed the same issue more than once.

We had a concern with our seating, and the manager’s handling of it was disappointing. His approach felt dismissive, not respectful for women and after we expressed our concerns he never checked back or made any effort to ensure we were comfortable. It left us feeling like our presence wasn’t valued, which is surprising for a place known for hospitality.

Our server was doing a great job despite being busy, but leadership is what sets the tone in a restaurant, and that attention was missing. It’s unfortunate because he made the evening far less enjoyable than it should have been.

I rarely leave reviews but I felt it was important to share this so the restaurant can hopefully address the issue.

Service was hit or miss the last two times I've been here but the tables are spaced nicely. On weekends, they offer brunch as well as the regular menu. The pizza's are personal sized, about six slices per pie. Fine for sharing if you are ordering other things. Very thin crust but it's all about the crust! Meatballs are a favorite and I really enjoyed the caccio de pepe. Brussel sprouts are perfectly seasoned and cooked. Mocktails are great, ask for the mint mojito.

We were disappointed in the Continental breakfast. Croissants were stale and yogurt was room temperature. The fruit on the yogurt was nice, but the dish had obviously been sitting out for a while. We also had an order of bacon - which was very good. The whole breakfast was $25, and not very good for that. Prices in NYC though are really high compared to other cities.

We ate there before theater. Food was delicious (grilled salmon and branzino fillet).Service was EXCELLENT. We spilled a full cocktail and the waitress replaced the drink at NO CHARGE. Then at the end of our meal the maitre d' asked us to vacate our table for the next diners, and comped us a FREE round of drinks. Excellent food and excellent setvice. A wonderful experience!

We had a great meal. And they were very accommodating about my garlic sensitivity. would definitely go back and recommend to others

The place itself was pretty, and the workers were all rather nice. We got our food very fast. The margarita pizza was unfortunately disappointing. The spicy pizza, however, was a bit better. The Caesar salad was great as well as the Arrabiata pasta.

I came here a few months ago and had such a great experience, which is why I decided to come back. Unfortunately, this visit wasn’t the same. The bald, skinny maitre d’ was very rude and unwelcoming, it honestly felt like he didn’t want us there. The hostess, the same one from last time, gave the same unwelcoming vibe, which made things uncomfortable from the start.I gave one star because I felt uncomfortable being there.

On the other hand, the food was excellent. We ordered filet mignons, a few pasta dishes, risotto porcini was amazing, their pizza is closest to what i experienced in Italy…and the tiramisu and profiteroles are must-try. Everyone else on the staff was polite and attentive, but that first impression really set the wrong tone. We had a couple of hiccups with the food, but no manager came to address the issue, if there was even a manager present. I hope management pays closer attention, because first impressions truly matter.
We will try different Serafina next time.

Enjoyed dinner at Serafina Time Square with my family visiting from California. We had a reservation, but it wasn't necessary. Great atmosphere, beautiful place, the food was delicious and classic Italian! The service was great from the moment we walked in. Daniel was amazing and took great care of us! Not only was the food delicious with every course, from the appetizer to dessert getting better and better, but the cocktails were amazing as well! Highly recommend the Strawberry Basil Martini! This will definitely be a regular place to go when I have family visiting! Thanks for everything Daniel!

Food was tasty; salmon was done very nicely. However the pasta was certainly not al dente and the carbonara was not authentic; certainly not like in Italy as the menu states. Service was alright but lacklustre and our waiter didn’t seem like he cared; waiters were clearing plates even before we were done with the meal etc. Soufflé was certainly not a soufflé as well but just a lava cake - when we checked with our server; again the response was lacklustre.

Food was ok; we aren't big drinkers and felt like our service went downhill fast when we said we only wanted water. Just not very attentive service.
