I ate at Serafina often when it had outdoor space. Upstairs is difficult due to the stairs. Food and service are good but it gets noisy when busy.
Excellent service and experience. I went for my birthday and they made me feel special. The menu is varied and something for everyone.
Food comes out pretty fast perhaps a tad too fast. Pizza is good but while asking for it well browned which it was the crust itself was not crisp which was disappointing.
I'll begin with a positive comment- the drinks are great and so is the ambiance! Otherwise, the food wasn't as good as it has been in the past. I thought it might have been an "off day" for the Margherita pizza- the crust was dry and the sauce tasted old. Then I had the spicy penne ala vodka. It wasn't spicy at all and almost too "blah" to eat. (Even the regular sauce had no flavor). Others at my table all had very similar experiences with the food. The food was NOT good, very disappointing and not worth the price.
Lovely space. Food served quickly but had to ask for bread. Cacio e Pepe was a bit over-peppered but would come back.
Wonderful table near the window. Met the new general manager, Vicente. Charming and very friendly. Restaurant was packed & food like always good & consistent.
Great restaurant. VERY DISAPPOINTED with the first waiter. A waiter should NEVER question a selection of a customer!! Clarification is fine, but do not question me about my choice of entree. Noise level was a little high. Not sure I would visit this location again.
The location is a little tired and rough around the edges, but a solid Serafina experience - a crowd-pleasing menu delivered fast. My tummy was a bit iffy after my meal so I'm not sure it was 100%, and the tables were extremely close together in a space where noise seemed to reverberate a lot. Their other locations are a better bet for me.
Had lunch at Serafina 79 yesterday. Food was pretty good, drinks were meh (flat diet coke, weak watery iced coffee), service was not great (had to flag someone down to bring us water and take our order after a while of sitting at the table). Probably wouldn't rush back.
delicious dinner last night. Arugula Salad with Filet pieces. Filet was rare (as I requested with a nice sear outside ; the salad had a perfect light dressing. I cleaned my plate. Our server was just wonderful; lots of smiles and quick response to any request.

Excellent dining experience. Delicious food. Santiago, our Server was wonderful and fabulous!
I have loved Serafina for years but last night was a simply terrible experience (1) we had to wait for our table even though we had a reservation(2) the table was wedged between two large tables of teenagers and the noise was deafening we couldn't hear each other (3) our entrees took way to long to arrive and were extremely mediocre and (4) no one checked in on us at any point. It is a neighborhood favorite I may never return to :(
we were seated in the lower part of the restaurant when coming in for our reservation. they didn't give us an option to sit in the upper more beautiful room
Very nice restaurant and the food was amazing. We had 3 pies for 4 people and a salad and it was perfect. Will be back again
I order in from here all the time but I decided to try something new - pasta with cream and shrimp - and it was not good. It was so heavy and had a weird taste to it. I had two bites, but could not finish the rest when the server came to get it. She didn't ask me what the issue was. She just took it and they charged me for it. I guess Serafina does not care much anymore about the satisfaction of their customers . In addition you can't order direct from them anymore. You must order through an app so you need to pay extra. Definitely losing my faith in Serafina.
