Great cozy place for some comfort pasta and apps. The amazing Paola & Pri were extremely helpful with their food recommendations. Tried the Tagliolini Funghi Pircini and it was so creamy. I would definitely come back to try the yummy looking pastries bc i was eyeing the chocolate cake and tiramisu. ?

New village pasta place. Little pricy but more than decent pasta.

If you're looking for a place to grab a delicious Italian espresso, some pizza, pastries, or a warm fresh pasta/sand-which, this is the place.

I was able to work for a few hours in this beautiful environment with great ambiance and smiling staff. The food is amazing!

I love coming to this Serafina Express. Beside being a beautiful setting. The staff is awesome! Herbie and Savannah are so genuinely caring in making sure their customers are happy with the entire experience. I have had delicious pasta here, excellent long espresso and more. Great for picking up something quick or sitting in this bright uplifting decor!

The perfect spot to grab lunch in the West Village! I love all the Serafina restaurants and these express spots are great for a quick bite. The eggplant Parmesan is my favorite. They also have bombolones (go early bc they sell out) and a variety of desserts. Next time I'll grab some of their pizza!

We found this while walking around waiting for our appointment to se an exhibit, really nice lady at the counter, and the atmosphere was a family owned vibe we got a Flatbread style pizza with mushrooms, and my girls got egg salad sandwiches that were just there size it was all excellent, I wish I tried the pastrys in the case because they looked excellent

The "cappuccino" I ordered tasted like tea, no milk texturing, no foam, transparent, and burnt. Thin. The pastry might as well have come from dunking donuts, costing $7. Uncomfortable atmosphere, strange undertones of servers (working late shift), dirty tables, and loud television which seemed out of place for a cafe. I was very disspointed from this experiences and regret spending so much money. I hope that more attention to detail will be considered for future improvements.

Always come here for dessert and coffee! Today, I decided to give a try for a meal and almost spent $35 dollars here and the meal was a total disappointment. Ordered a pasta and the pasta was not well cooked. I asked the waiter to boil more and in less than 5 sec. He brought back the same place. The pasta still not cooked. Finally had to order a slice of pizza and at least that was a bit better.

Saw another person ordered similar pasta and the girl left it as well me leaving it now.

They should talk to the chef there or change it!

I ordered a beet salad, risotto parmigiano, a tiramisu, and a chocolate cake.

The beet salad ($12); full of just arugula (I guess I should have expected that though). I love arugula, but not that much, especially when the dressing is so sparse. I ran out within the first few bites, and the beets were sorely lacking as well. 4/10

The risotto parmigiano ($16); I added the meatballs ($4) & cheese ($2). The meatballs were definitely worth adding; the best part of the dish, despite being $1 per meatball. The risotto had semi-hard rice, and a relatively creamy cheese sauce, albeit one that does not particularly taste like parmigiano. It's also worth noting that the risotto came out piping hot, but the meatballs were all lukewarm. Overall, 5/10.

The chocolate ganache cake ($8); very creamy and delicious. Dusting of cocoa powder on top. The "crust" seems to be a noticeably dry, thin cake. 7/10
The tiramisu ($8.50); first off, I love the opened strawberry on top. The ladyfingers are sort of dry in the middle (I'm seeing a pattern), but the rest of it is very, very creamy and quite delicious. The best thing I had while here. 8/10

Now, if you're still reading... on to the service. The cashier herself was fine, though very distracted. Shortly after I sat down, an employee that was CLEARLY drunk started wobbling through the front staffing area. She proceeded to talk quite loudly, slurring her words, goading her coworkers to do something. She eventually seemed to just wander out, with no apparent urging on the employee's side. I have no idea if she even worked here, or if she was just... there? Either way, weird. Another employee had their phone on speakerphone for quite a while, etc. 3/10

The atmosphere; a man was in a very in-depth phone call regarding his job behind me. Another young woman in front of me had her tablet out. I had seen in other reviews, that some people use this as a sort of business office; I can see why they would say so. Not that that's particularly bad, it just honestly makes for a weird vibe with my risotto? 4/10.

OVERALL; 3/5 (overhyped!!)
