A good Italian restaurant downtown, we had a reservation and got a nice seat. Appetizer calamari fritti were good and fresh. The pizza was very greasy for us Germans, too much cheese and the gnocchi were too soft. In return we were generously given 2 great desserts. The service was great and everything was very quick and friendly. Therefore recommended.

Food is mediocre at best, overpriced, bridge and tunnel crowd. Decent service, wish the pasta had better sauces.. good spot for a last min date or causal

I have been two times to this location and I will be going back, the food has always tasted amazing and the service and environment are outstanding and pleasant, the dished that I have ordered so far and that I recommend are the Farfalle al lemoncello (my favorite) Buffala pizza, Tagliolini al pollo and the spinach and goat cheese salad and I added salmon to this last one.

Good food, good drinks, and good service by host and bartender/server. dinning room small and tight and very very loud. Bar area quieter. Unable to sit in upstairs dining room due to private event. Overall good experience

The service was absolutely atrocious, me and my two other friends are seniors in High School, we went out for lunch expecting the bill to be a little less than 100 dollars. The bill was over 100 dollars, me and my friends are trying to save as much money as we can (since it is our own money, and we dont have full time jobs.) Spending over over 50$ on a meal is not realistic for us. So when the bill comes out, we are only able to tip 10%, not 20%. The waiter who brought the check proceeded to ask me why I didnt tip more, and I just didnt answer, my other friend tipped 5 % and he threatened to go get his manager and said we had to tip him 20%. I intervened myself into the situation and said "we are students in high school and cannot afford to tip more." And then he proceeds to go "this should be expected, then you shouldnt come to places like this." Me and my friends have gone to serefinas multiple times, and our bill was never that high. The waiter then proceeds to go to the back and say that he is going to get his manager and force more tip. It was honestly just humiliating, and so disrespectful. Espielly after I had told him we were students. Also it was 12 pm, there are so many other wealthy people going to the restaurant. It is so disappointing that an older man was trying to capitalize humiliate younger women, even after we explained our circumstance. Serefina, please teach your staff how to be respectful to those who cannot afford a big tip on a big bill, a little bit of tip is better than none at all. This restaurant is very popular and im sure 15 dollars is not going to make or break your earnings in a day.

Solid spot for a dinner that's causal, but still feels nice. The service is always good and there is seating both upstairs and downstairs. Lots of appetizers to choose from. The only negative was that the Burrata Prosciutto came with not enough Burrata compared to the amount of Prosciutto.

The best Italian food and experience! My husband had the Steak and fries and he couldn't stop talking about how good it was at the first bite. My spinach and ricotta ravioli with butter and sage sauce was awesome. Great atmosphere.

On a recent Sunday, Serafina provided a nice spot for a family dinner. Overall, the food was great! We enjoyed a chopped salad w/Romain, avocado, and a lemony dressing along w/ an appetizer crostini w/ prosciutto and mozzarella. For entrees, our party of 3 adults shared the Nocina pizza w/ sausage and mushrooms, the chicken parm, which comes w a side of penne marinara, and the special risotto that had sausage and asparagus. This was an adequate amount of food for our party and we had a bit of leftovers for 2 small lunches the following day. Our tab included 2 drinks and it got to be a bit pricey compared to the amount of food served - ~$70 pp, but that's becoming standard for lower Manhattan. The price was offset very slightly with an Amex credit card offer to dine here, so check your credit card benes! The service could have been better. The waiter was eager to take our order and once we placed it, kind of disappeared. The table we sat at - a four top - was a small table and all 3 entrees that we said we were sharing came out at the same time and crowded the table. The server could have managed that more efficiently. Overall, the food is solid and I would return and reco this spot.

We were so disappointed in our experience. Only one person at our table ordered wine and it seemed like after taking our food order, our waiter, “wrote us off” I say that because we never saw him again for the entire meal. No check back to see how we liked our food or if we wanted dessert or anything. He finally came to the table after a long wait and we asked for the check. I spoke to management about his lack of service and they apologized of course. Never again!!!
