This was one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. Our server Dino was nice and patient but also gave great service overall. The food portions were great and the meal itself was amazing. Will definitely come back

Worst Italian meal we have had in the city in the past 10 years. Anyone who has been to the Amalfi coast and enjoyed the cuisine would agree. From lack of seasoning to presentation this meal was not representative of the Amalfi coast.

Overall great experience with the delicious lemon pasta dish and barrata! The only complaint was the rooftop was extremely HOT! There was no air hitting our table so it made a lunch not as enjoyable!

Great food, great service. Beautiful ambiance, just felt the fans were blowing too strongly at one point but other than that, we had an amazing evening. Meals are more on the pricier side but still worth it, considering the overall experience. I'll come back next time I visit NY, for sure.

Tried this restaurant during restaurant week. Rickety elevator then 2 long staircases later arrived to be greeted by people, who wish they weren't there. Steel chairs with wood seats were a cue to not spend a lot of time. Could have been great but it wasn't. I hated the worn out feel of the Cheesecake Factory, this is just the Italian version.

The rooftop is shaded. It can get a little warm during summer days, but the air conditioning isn't overpowered.

Very pleasant experience. We were a half hour late for the reservation because of traffic and the restaurant still seated us. Very good food and service.

The service was very good. We had a very attentive server. The food was very good. The portions were just small for the price. The drinks were good, but not the best dirty martini or espresso martini. For my birthday and a reservation well in advance, we were not seated at a special table. That is not a 5 star restaurant.

The food is quite overpriced for the size of the portion. 30USD for a lemon pasta that is served on the smallest plate. Never seen this size in Italian restaurants. 32USD for tomatos, avocado and 3 shrimp. Rediculous. 17USD for Aperol.... The servers never came, so I had to chase down to order some food...

We loved the Almagintheme but we had a reservation and were sat in the back corner and it was so extremely hot we couldn't even eat. The front of restaurant was much cooler. I have been here several times and never had issues like this!

Beautiful space with exceptional tasting food however, service was HORRIBLE!! Our waiter was no where to be found on several occasions... the restaurant was not very busy and it was well staffed so there was no excuse in my opinion. So many other beautiful options in NYC with extremely better service.

Made a reservation for 2 and it was packed as usual. To avoid the wait we were offered a high top in bar. We sat down and literally there was a table next to me such that if I had to leave the table the other table had to move so I could get out!! I was so close to them we literally could eat from each others plate. The food was just ok. I ordered the hanger steak and the a pasta dish. The whole place noise level is high where it shows up on my watch warning of high noise level. Went to the bar to place order, food came out quick and all together which I suppose is fine but if you wanted appetizer first then I suggest placing order separately. No one came by to see if we needed anything, not sure if that's normal in the bar area or not but just wanted to mention. The decor is nice which is likely why it's always packed.

Had a reservation for 3 people at 630 on a Tuesday evening, we arrived on time and were told our table wasn't ready & there were two tables to be seated ahead of us. We waited at the bar and had a drink and then at 7PM I got a text that our table was ready. Went to the hostess stand and were told that they didn't have a table for us because they were so busy (even though I'd made the reservation a week before) but we could sit at a high top table in the bar area and as a concession, they'd give us a round of shots. We agreed and they sat us & said someone would be over to help us. We waited until 7:25, but we no one came to serve us, we never even received menus (and we never got that round of shots). We ended up just leaving. Disappointing as my friends were in town from out of state and we were looking forward to this dinner. We did walk a few blocks away and had a great dinner elsewhere.
