Great atmosphere in a neighborhood restaurant. Too pricey for a neighborhood restaurant and menu is limited with insufficient rotation. But food is good. Service is friendly
We sat outside at 9 pm under the stars. It was a beautiful evening accompanied by their delicious mussels as a main course with their Caesar salad. The service was impeccable and the atmosphere romantic. They have only two tables outdoors on a side street so we were lucky to have one upon a last minute request. Everyone was so polite which made us feel welcome and appreciated as patrons.
As usual, tremendous service and food. Staff is always great and friendly. Best chicken in NYC and amazing bread and Caesar salad.
We always love our meals at Sfoglia. The owner(?) Johan takes great care of us and the food is consistently delicious. The service is attentive without being overbearing. I only wish it were a little quieter! Great neighborhood place.
Not many options near 92Y and Sfoglia used to be an outstanding one. But portions have shrunk and prices risen disproportionately. A friend ordering a scallop appetizer was served a small bowl of liquid and greens with barely visible scallops. A tagliatelle with clam main dish came in the size of a cereal bowl and, at over $30, was really an appetizer portion. The menu options, always limited, have nothing under the high $20's . Sorry to say I look for new pre- performance places to eat in future.
It can't get any better than Sfoglia. A rare gem in NYC; a must go to place whenever we visit the city. Such a pleasure to have conversations with the staff while dining on the most delicious food.
all fantastic but way too loud. hopefully they can add some noise cancelling materials on the ceiling.
The Caesar salad was fresh and well-made, but it didn’t justify the overall cost.
I ordered the pasta for my main, which was a classic spaghetti in tomato sauce. Easily the most disappointing version of this dish I’ve had.
Service was friendly and attentive, which I appreciated.
However, $85 (before tip) for one glass of wine, one appetizer, and one entrée felt excessive for what was ultimately subpar, mediocre food. I won’t be returning.
Very charming and authentic Italian resto in the neighborhood. Delicious food and attracts elegant and young crowd. Very good! Reasonably priced but elegant - we really enjoyed our dinner there! Will come back!
The food was ok but the noise level was too loud. It's a small setting and too many tables in close proximity. Also, the food was bland and over priced.

Food was tasty but make sure you bring your wallet
I am reluctant to post this, simply because it is one of our favorite spots and I don't want even more people knowing about it, but they deserve a good review. Fantastic food and elaborate cocktails. Friendly and professional staff. Totally consistent. Essentially fine dining food in a casual setting. It is a bit pricey, but you really are getting a perfect meal.
We had the pleasure of visiting and indulging in this genuine treasure! I can not express how excellent the service is from the minute you walk through the doors! The food was so amazing in terms of presentation and flavor that I am still left picking at it trying to figure it out!
I usually don't like Italian food but I found the food to be great and the staff friendly. The recommended their trademark bolognese and it is fantastic. It was a bit tart -- maybe from wine in the sauce? -- but incredibly depth and richness of flavor.
Their duck fat potatoes were under-seasoned and boring.
The cocktails tend to be on the sweeter side
The chicken is our favorite, best anywhere! Great wines by the glass. Always love it here!
