Out of all of the shake shacks in NYC, this is by far the best one. My order has never been wrong and they bring it out hot every single time. The team is super nice and always cheerful. I go out of my way to go to this specific shake shack.

I usually don’t leave reviews, but I have to mention the amazing service today at Shake Shack. The place was packed, and I was standing while eating my fries because there were no tables. One of the cleaning staff — a very friendly Latino gentleman — went all the way to the back to find me a chair. He was so kind and welcoming, and I could tell he works hard and treats everyone with respect. Hard-working people like him deserve recognition.

This place is right in the heart of Manhattan and very convenient for a quick bite. We came in right around noon on a Thursday, but luckily just a few minutes before the lunch crowd so there was no wait for a machine or seating. There was ample seating with various configurations, bar tables for single seating or multiple, booths that can fit up to 4 or 6-8 people. The food was hot and delicious. One of the team, Jessica, was going around to check on customers and make sure everything was ok. I went to get a soda refill and she took my cup to refill for me. I was able to wait at my table and she brought it over to me (was able to find/remember me without a problem). This is the kind of friendly, great service I like about Shake Shack.

We visited a few Shake Shack restaurants whilst in New York and the reason for the 3* rating (others were higher) was that the burgers we ordered at Herald Square were more greasy than at others - so greasy that the burger buns fell apart and made them really hard to eat! They were tasty enough, but at other Shake Shacks the burgers were not greasy and held together.
