Got the fried pork chop lunch special and knew something was missing. My takeout order came with just rice, pork chop, cabbage and half an egg. Usually this dish has a meat sauce over the rice and I confirmed looking at both the physical and online menu. They didn’t give the meat sauce and the dish was extremely dry and lacking in flavor.

I got the noodles here, which were thick and came with a lot of flavor. For dessert I got one of those bunnies with my girlfriend. They had a milky and buttery taste. The restaurant is small but we managed to get a table right away and overall we had a nice time.

I wanted to keep this spot relatively unknown. The personnel provided useful information. The flavors are perfectly balanced! The setting here really works. My visit to this place was excellent.

The food was above average but still not authentic, you could feel that it was not real Shanghainese food, more of an industrial cuisine.
But what really disappointed me is the attitude that the workers took when I gave them a $1 dollar tip (in my country, the tip culture doesn’t exist, and it was my first ever restaurant in America.). We paid $65 for food that wasn’t even authentic and we still got rewarded by a disdainful look and didn’t receive an answer to our « thank you, have a good evening » right before leaving.
You need to work on your professionalism.

I didn't expect much entering this Shanghainese dim sum spot after being denied entry to KPOT (over an hour long wait), but I was pleasantly surprised. They seated us within a few minutes and I was quite impressed that they had a full-on iPad ordering system which made everything super efficient. The staff were extremely nice and well-attentive, constantly refilling our waters and they even replaced the iPad with the cracked screen. We ordered a ton of food - but it all tasted very authentic with true Chinese flavors. No notes. The cherry on top was the smooth jazz they played at a respectable volume, it reminded me of all the Chinese restaurants I used to go to with my parents when I was a kid. A great dim sum spot if you ever (unfortunately) find yourself in the Times Square area.

Great food! We always come here when we are in the city! If we had any complaints it’s that currently they aren’t open as late as they used to be. But seriously make sure you try the food here!

Found a gross bug in my wonton soup, they completely shut the doors when I went to pick up and they said they didnt have my order twice. It was good til I saw the floating bug in my soup.

I love this place, I visit it everytime I`m in NYC. Service is fast, the restaurant is clean and there are so many healthy options on the menu like the drunken chicken, woodear mushroom salad, duck soup, dumplings, etc.

Just wish I`d bought a t-shirt last time because they`re no longer for sale :(

别去吃了,巨雷。
I used to visit this place all the time because it was really good, but my recent experience was disappointing. The quality has really gone downhill—both in terms of the food and the overall environment.

We ordered the veggie noodles, but unfortunately, we found a human hair in it. We tried to overlook that, but the mushrooms were sour and seemed off. The fried dumplings were overcooked and burnt; we had to discard half the skin. The bok choy was wilted and black, possibly days old. To top it off, there were flies flying around the whole time.

I’m giving it 2 stars, only for the sake of the good memories I have from the past, but I don’t think I’ll be returning anytime soon.
