Stopped here on a whim while walking the High Line. As Angelenos visiting NYC, the idea of gimbap was appealing. We got the veg gimbap and the bulgogi gimbap. They were both so good! What a satisfying meal.
After this, although we felt full, we got a liberty bun, stuffed with cheese. We really enjoyed chatting with Mr. Shin, and we learned that he has had custom molds made for these, with the head of the Statue of Liberty on one side, and the torch on the other. It felt really poignant to be offered these iconic symbols of America, and of immigrant optimism, while our hometown was under attack by ICE. But the bun dissolved all of those kinds of thoughts. It was so good that it dissolved all thought. All there was in the world was the perfectly seasoned cheese filling and the perfect, perfect outer dough shell. I don't know if I've ever eaten anything as perfectly Platonically perfect as this.
10/10 would and will do again, would recommend to anybody

(At highlights) Cheese bun almost has no cheese, other item was nicer but not impressive.
It’s closed :( The interior is gutted, and it’s gone. Sad.
Warm cheesy goods waits inside.
Although the cheese coins seem like a fad food, I quite liked mine! I also got it fresh, so it was all warm, ooey gooey. The crust had the same texture and taste as the taiyaki shell. I will admit it was a little undercooked near the bottom, but hopefully I don’t catch anything.
The food is amazing, and the couple who run the place are so sweet!

What a lovely family owned business with delicious homemade Korean food.
I had a sudden craving for Korean fried dumplings, so I turned around & ordered some pork mandu! These seem to be elegantly pan-fried, but honestly I'd been searching for decades for the tougher, meatier, heavier, more savory & salty deep fried yakimandu that I once enjoyed in Korea about 23 years ago. But anyway, I shouldn't dwell upon the past. This is a great find, & I'll keep it in mind!
Really amazing bulgogi bowl. The combination of rice and glass noodles is very tasty. I will definitely return.
Thrilled that I can get good toppoki and kimbap so easily in the neighborhood now.
Highly rec this local business for some delicious kimbap. Perfect lunch and snack craving spot.
Sweetest owners too
