I am not one to leave negative reviews, but I am writing this review to warm people of how much of a scam this restaurant is. Due to the quarantine, I wanted to help support local businesses, but as I wait for my food that was supposed to be delivered an hour ago with no one picking up the phone, I have to say this is honestly unacceptable. I have called multiple times but no one has picked up. I am just going to call my bank. I get times are hard, but no one should be taken advantage like this. I hope the management sees this and makes changes because this is so disappointing. All I want to say to Spice Hut is do better. This is the first and last time I will be ordering from this restaurant due to their lack of regard for their clientele.

I ordered food from this restaurant an hour ago and still haven't received. I'm trying to communicate with the by phone , but they are not answering. Bad service

After all these bad reviews I'm surprised this place still exists, but I'll add mine as well just to deter more unfortunate victims. Their curries were incredibly bland and watery, the worst I've had in New York by far. It was edible, but I'd expect an Indian restaurant of this quality in Kansas, not one of the food capitals of the world. Price point was average to slightly high.

My order came cold and 20 minutes later then scheduled. The chicken was also extremely dry and not flavorful. I had order the chicken masala and the sauce itself lacked flavor. I am extremely disappointed in my wait time and the overall quality of the food. The best part of my meal was the garlic nann!

Ordered rogan josh and tarka dhal - both were incredibly tasteless.. dhal was like water & rogan josh only tasted of tomatoes.. more oil than anything.. i asked for it to be spicy. Let alone that, there was no taste of curry or salt or anything.. extremely disappointing. Not sure if because i ordered very late in the night and maybe they sent me the ugly leftovers..? I am actually disgusted and throwing it all away after one bite each. Utterly unacceptable..

i'm not sure why all the bad reviews but i had some vegetarian dish with cauliflower, naan and veggie samosas and it was pretty good! lots of flavor and spicy like i like it. wish the portions were bigger for what you're paying but whatever i'd order again

The place was totally empty when we arrived so I should have known but I really had a craving for Indian food. The hostess was very kind and sweet so I wish I could have given a higher rating. I requested bhindi masala which is a stir fryed dish . My meal came soaked in a saucy oil. Tasted old, and bits of the okra were still uncooked. My boyfriend got a lamb dish, and the lamb was so tough I could barely cut it with the knife provided to us . The atmosphere was so dead it was nearly awkward . No music no sound just complete and dead silence. I love supporting small business but this restaurant just seemed like a waste of money for us. :( Shortly after posting , the server came over as her manager was made aware of my review. She was very sweet and apologized. They spoke to the chef about my concerns and my item was removed from my bill. Kudos to them for quick responses and fast work!

This is my favorite place for Indian food. The staff is very friendly and the service is great. I had dinner special at this place that includes drink, starter, main course with naan for just $12.99 and lunch for $7.99. I believe this restaurant was great value for money and the food was delicious. I will highly recommend this restaurant and will surely come back. Thanks!

Ordered takeout was ready as soon as I arrived 5 minutes. Open late huge plus. Butter chicken with garlic naan was on POINT! Samosa were big and delicious. Authentic Indian flavors coming from someone who holds Indian food to a very high standard. Thanks for a great dinner!

Literally the worst lamb over rice I've had in nyc. White rice, the lamb is NOT halal, and they gave minimal white sauce. I'll never waste my time here again, there's too many places who do it right near by.

Got delivery for a chicken and lamb bowl, along with the chicken tikka. The chicken and lamb bowl was TINY with only a few pieces of meat and predominantly lettuce. Yes it is $6.99 but the portion definitely justifies the price! The meat was also on the tough side. The chicken tikka was also on the tough side and the sauce was a bit bland and watery as well. The prices are low and delivery is fast if you are on the UES but the super fast delivery probably is indicative that the food is not freshly prepared to order. There are better Indian options in the area - and worth a higher price and longer delivery time.

Super yummy and authentic Indian food! I usually go for the palak paneer, garlic naan and vegetable biryani!

Ordered online despite the reviews of poor delivery. It thought, if I pay in cash and they don't show, I'm not out of money. An hour later I get a call saying that it's raining too hard so they'll send it in an uber but they need my card. I got very confused but decided to got through with it as I am sick and didn't want to wait for another restaurant in this rain.
