Food was cold. Service was terrible, we to chase down staff. Food was ordinary American Chinese fae at an extraordinary price.

We've been coming here for years, usually pre-theater. This is the first time some in our party thought the food was a bit bland. I thought it was delicious! I think Shun Lee may using less MSG, which is a good thing.

Sean Lee is a classic. Very old school and sitting right now in the middle of some neglected renovation project... But the restaurant is still lovely to eat in. The old style, Cantonese Chinese food hits the spot and it is beautifully prepared. It's quiet, white table cloths. A hidden gem. And it's been a gem since 1965!

As always, the classic dishes are really well executed and tasty even if somewhat overly sauced. Service is always rushed, but quite efficient. Cocktails are good, but ridiculously expensive for what they offer. A go to place for traditional Chinese fare at high prices.

The service was rushed, even though there were plenty of empty tables. But the food is wonderful.

we had a Dim Sum Lunch with 5 different dishes for 2 and a bottle of sparkling water. The Chives Shrimp Dim Sum were good, but the dough of the soup dumplings was sticky, and tasted warmed-up while the filling was lukewarm. The vagetable spring roll was too oily, while tohepork dumplings were tasty and well prepared. Together, a mixed bag of average taste and quality at a price of nearly $100 for 2.

No better Peking Duck in this city. The crepes are elegantly assembled tableside and remainder of duck carved and left on the table. If you have appetizers, a whole duck is too much food for 2 people so, I suggest asking for a half duck. We had so much leftover and, alas, we could not take it to the ballet. I have returned here for many years after disappointing Peking Duck in other restaurants.

Low quality dinner not aligned to the website promise. Akin to poor takeaway food - e.g. steamed dumplings not cooked through and barely warm; lemon chicken was a chicken snitchel with a side dish of weak lemon sauce; praun in grand marnier sauce was nice sauce but barely warmed prawns. It was telling to find few people in what is otherwise a restaurant with good ambience.

We visit Shun Lee West every time we visit from Chicago. Always a special treat. The food and service is outstanding. Highly recommended.

Beautiful restaurant and very good service but . . . The menu prices astounded me. I've been to this restaurant many times but not in the last year. I couldn't believe how much the prices have gone up. And the quality of the food was disappointingly mediocre. We ordered two main dishes - - favorites of mine in the past - - and they were nothing like the way the restaurant used to prepare them. Very gloppy sauce and overly sweet. I am so sorry to have to write a negative review. Maybe I caught the chef on a bad night.

The perfect old school chinese food that we all crave now and again. Great ambience, quick service, delicious food

Delicious and sadly empty with prices driving recent reviews and lack of busy Lincoln Center activities this time of year. Out of town and local guests alike raved about the soup dumplings, chicken with three nuts, and dependable duck

the beef and pork meat was disgusting, could eat just the spring rolls and the fried rice, one of the worst food experienced in my life. Utterly expensive too, $175 plus tips, $200 for 2 people, money thrown in the trash bin...

We had a great late lunch here on a Saturday afternoon. We dined at an off time— so we had the dining room to ourselves. Service was awesome and the food was delicious!! More people need to visit this restaurant!!
