We've been coming here for years, usually pre-theater. This is the first time some in our party thought the food was a bit bland. I thought it was delicious! I think Shun Lee may using less MSG, which is a good thing.
Sean Lee is a classic. Very old school and sitting right now in the middle of some neglected renovation project... But the restaurant is still lovely to eat in. The old style, Cantonese Chinese food hits the spot and it is beautifully prepared. It's quiet, white table cloths. A hidden gem. And it's been a gem since 1965!
we had a Dim Sum Lunch with 5 different dishes for 2 and a bottle of sparkling water. The Chives Shrimp Dim Sum were good, but the dough of the soup dumplings was sticky, and tasted warmed-up while the filling was lukewarm. The vagetable spring roll was too oily, while tohepork dumplings were tasty and well prepared. Together, a mixed bag of average taste and quality at a price of nearly $100 for 2.
