Perfect in every way except so many wonderful sounding specials that it's impossible to choose. We love it here.

Wonderful. Although we are East Siders, we had never visited Sistina until an event nearby sent us in search of a convenient dinner spot. What a terrific find. The service was impeccable. The menu is superfluous as Antonio, our waiter, reeled off a long list of specials for every course. I had a tasty fried oysters dish and a spinach pasta with venison ragu. My wife had a fish dish, and our son had a salad and gnocchi. Then three tasty desserts. A bit pricier than we expected, but well worth it. We'll be going back.

Perhaps one of the memorable and delightful dining experiences I have had. The place was beautiful, the staff attentive, the food phenomenal. You will not regret coming here.

Biblical GOD is only true GOD.

I can’t shout it loud enough…. DELICIOUS!!!!! I regularly go to Rome and have sought out the best Cacio de Pepe. After many restaurant recommendations I found it in Travestere (Rome)…but SISTINA’S was EQUAL! Wow. What a surprise to find a NYC restaurant BETTER than Rome! And.. the gelato? Hands down BETTER than the best of Rome. Seriously.

I was disappointed by my experience at Sistina. Despite having a reservation, I was ignored at the entrance while other patrons were promptly seated — and surprisingly, the host was the owner himself. When we were finally seated, it was at the worst table, right next to a station constantly accessed by staff. The atmosphere was loud, hot, and crowded. The food was good, but nothing extraordinary. Jon, our server, was the saving grace of the night, and the reason I’m giving more than one star.

A very art inspired spot for lunch after a visot to the MET. Great food combined with great service and a beautiful interior makes for an excellent experience. Upper East Side at its best 🍸✨️

This has been one of my favorite restaurants in NYC, unfortunately my most recent visit was so bad that I had to leave an review

Butter is frozen, mussels and clams stinks and is definitely overnight, veal is so overcooked it’s tastes like broccoli. Really miss the old sistina, I’m pretty sure owner or chef has changed.

We just had a fantastic dining experience at this Italian restaurant! The highlight was being introduced to the intoxicating aroma of white truffle, which truly elevated the meal. The pastas were absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked with rich, authentic flavors. The service was excellent—attentive, friendly, and added to the overall enjoyment. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a special Italian meal 🤌🏼

My recent visit to Sistina was, unfortunately, a disappointing experience—my first and most likely my last. Coming from Europe, where authentic Italian cuisine is readily available, I had high expectations for this fine dining establishment. While the food was certainly not bad, it was nothing extraordinary either.

What truly soured the evening was the opportunistic behavior we encountered. We were served some "nibbles" at the start, which we naturally assumed were a complimentary gesture from the kitchen. To our surprise, these "nibbles" appeared on the bill for an outrageous $90. Additionally, we were sold a seasonal dish priced at $120 per plate, but this price was nowhere listed on the menu. Meanwhile, regular fish dishes were listed at $50-$60. It’s not about the price, but the way these charges were imposed without clear communication. This kind of approach is utterly out of line in a genuine fine dining restaurant.

As someone well-versed in the hospitality industry, I find this behavior particularly distasteful and unprofessional. Such practices are frowned upon, as they erode trust and undermine the dining experience. In a city renowned for its culinary scene, there are numerous establishments that uphold the integrity of fine dining without resorting to such tactics. Sadly, Sistina fell short in this regard and left us feeling taken advantage of as tourists.

Loved this place the minute I walked in. Beautiful bar where we sat to eat and very friendly and attentive staff. But when I bit into a bone the size of a quarter in my lamb ragu and pointed it out to two staff members the response was the same from both “that’s from the lamb”. I know where the bone came from but it was a miracle I didn’t break a tooth off eating a pasta dish. I am still shocked by the reply and that they made no offer other than “I’ll let the chef know”.
C’mon guys, there was barely an apology and not even an offer of a dessert on the house. I would have refused but the gesture would have let me know they took my issue seriously. Apparently this must happen all the time.
