Sistina is a special place for quiet conversation with old friends, and top-quality food. Our table was served incredibly well. The staff is skillful, knowledgeable, and personable to a degree that was just right. Our experience was pretty perfect.

The first time we visited, it was such a great experience that we decided to come back and bring friends. This time, we had a 2:30 reservation on a Saturday, but were running 11 minutes late, so I called to let them know and ask if it was okay. The person who answered was shockingly rude—just said “no.” When I explained that our friends were already there and asked if we should cancel, he said the kitchen was closing at 3. For a restaurant in NYC, it's pretty surprising they'd offer 2:30 reservations yet expect guests to not even be 10 minutes late. We ended up making it on time to eat, but the attitude continued. When I asked the server a simple question—whether we should order appetizers first or everything at once—he sighed, removed his glasses in exaggerated annoyance, and told me he “couldn't even put in an order” unless it included the entire meal. When you're spending over $400 on a dinner, you'd expect at least average service—if not better. Unfortunately, this experience was so disappointing that we won't be returning.

The service and the waiters were amazing there were friendly and professional also. The food was excellent , they gave you thinly sliced prosciutto and cheese. I order the aLinguini and Clams it was perfect and Al dente like it was made in Italy. I would diffidently go back. Giovanni made the experience worth while going.

The owner was even nice enough to greet us personally when we mentioned we're considering having our wedding there, can't wait to go back again and visit.

This was our first time to go to Sistina. It was AMAZING!!! We started with lightly fried fresh oysters that were incredible!! They had the best flavor!! I had spaghetti pasta with fresh Spanish anchovies and sweet red peppers and capers that was so delicious!!! We will definitely be coming back!!!
