Unfortunately the service was TERRIBLE! Food was really good. We had to keep flagging down our waiter Zef. I even told him at one point we needed a little more attention. Didn't seem to matter. Unfortunately when you spend over $400.00 for lunch for three I think the wait staff should be a bit more attentive. Would not go back anytime soon.

Our waitstaff was outstanding as was the food. I put in open table that we were celebrating my fiancee's birthday but it was never acknowledged, which was disappointing. The only other thing I noticed given we've eaten at S&W before, was that the NY location didn't have the 10 layer chocolate cake. We were looking forward to it, but the substitute was still quite good.

I wanted to enjoy this experience but it was lackluster. Our daughter steak was rare instead of medium. We asked to have them put back on the grill. Reluctantly they did but it came back almost the same. The wedge salad was drenched in dressing which diminished the flavor. Our son's steak although medium rare was so rare he was only able to eat the outsides. Overall such a disappointing experience.

We celebrated our anniversary here, and it was incredible. Our server, Lin, a 29-year veteran, made the night unforgettable. He was attentive, warm, and made us feel like we had been dining there for years. The filet mignon and sirloin were seasoned to perfection, and every bite was tender and flavorful. The oysters and tartare were flawless, and each wine we had, white, red, and prosecco, was beautifully smooth. Service was extraordinary and honestly stronger than Peter Luger's. A classic New York steakhouse that still delivers five-star magic.
The waiter Lin was excellent kind and attentive to our dining needs from start to finish. I love Smith and Wollensky and he made our birthday celebration even more special.

We now know why this restaurant is so highly rated. The place was packed and for good reasons... We first saw the size of the steaks and thought those must be for 2 people... Huge!!! You have to see it to believe it. Perfectly seasoned and cooked. Service was impeccable. They've been doing this right for a long time... I was so full I did not want dessert but one of our friends had a birthday so they brought out the cake and mango gelato. Insane!!! I highly recommend this restaurant, but come hungry.OMG!!!

The steak was fine - but underwhelming. Buttery but that's about it - under salted and meh. We were sat so tightly against the table behind us, the waiter had to jam his hip into my shoulder to be able to serve them. The restaurant was so loud we couldn't hear the 4 of us. I don't know what's happened to this place, but it's not what it used to be.
