Great location and great hotel with lovely staff. Very peaceful atmosphere. Smyth Tavern is wonderful too!
We had a late dinner here as guests of the Smyth hotel on new years day. The ambience was romantic and the foods was good.
We traveled from the UK to New York for the Christmas holidays and went to Smyth Tavern for a non traditional English Christmas dinner so had 4x smash burger and truffle fries and it was one of the best Christmas dinners we've ever had. Thank you Smyth Tavern and in particular the lady from Nottingham UK who was our server, she was a delight 👍
I can’t remember its name, but this spicy lobster pasta was delicious. They also make great non-alcohol cocktails.

I'm sorry to say, while my family's recent dinner at Smyth Tavern was pleasant enough in terms of ambiance and accommodation to our last minute time change, the food was very disappointing. What's most disappointing was that it was entirely due to a simple lack of seasoning. The meat was cooked perfectly, but both the marinated skirt steak and the steak frites had absolutely NO flavor. SALT would have made all the difference, but sadly, the kitchen chose not to use any. It was mind blowing. The truffle fries were amazing. My garlic potatoe purée was excellent though the lamb shank too suffered from a complete lack of salt or any other seasoning. Pasta is pasta, my opinion, so the à la vodka with shrimp was fine. Nothing to write home about, but fine. The waiter was incredibly slow to get to us and then we waiting easily 15 minutes for sodas to arrive. Thank God, we didn't order cocktails. The chocolate cake dessert was very good, but that was it. Beautiful place, but will never go back.
Really like this place (close to work) drinks and service is excellent.
The burger is my fav along with the artichoke dip. For 1st timers — I recommend going with these classics.
It can be sometimes quite loud with the office crowd — so depends on your preference.
Would also love if they have a few more beer options.

Way overpriced.. we ordered still water thinking it just meant without fizz but apparently meant $10 a bottle for water. Soft drinks were served in tiny glasses filled with ice to make sure you needed expensive refills. Two people ordered steaks med well and both came back well done and dry.

The food was ok, nothing outstanding, but not bad. Service, though, was awesome - our server was really sweet, attentive without being intrusive, and accurate. Overall a good experience
Thanksgiving dinner was really good. The cheesecake was one of the best I have ever had. The Basil Hayden old fashioned was smooth and yummy.

Nice place. But the food and service were mediocre if I’m being generous, for the price you would expect a better service and better tasting food. First and last.

Food and service were both not what I expected, in a.bad way.
Excellent wait staff and head waiter. Food was exceptional in taste and correct temperature .
Only comment is waiter should know a martini is made with gin, not vodka.
