Came to have dinner on a Thursday night, place was pretty packed. Ordered drinks, they were okay. The "classic" gin n tonic that I got didn't have angostura like it said in the menu but no biggie, still drank it. Server and staff were friendly but felt forgotten a couple times. The food was okay, the croquetas were mushrooms, those were delicious as was the brussel sprout salad but it was huge. The pulpo had no flavor, just tasted like paprika and was sliced as thin medallions with some potatoes that were overcooked and stabbed with toothpicks. Patatas bravas were okay, I had to add salt to almost everything. For tapas, the plates were pretty big in my honest opinion. Paella was pretty tasty, I just wish it had more socarrat and maybe some lemon aoili or grilled lemon on the side. Flan and churros were killer! All in all, with so many options here, probably will not return.
Amazing carne paella dish and wonderful tapas appetizers. They treated us with a small glass of champagne for our special birthday celebration.
Always a great experience. No one makes Paella and Sangria the way Socarrat does. I have been going since 2012 when I first moved to NYC! Thank you for being a part of New York. A true gem of a restaurant with very warm and amazing staff.
I've been coming here for years. The vibe is unmatched. The staff service is so attentive. Diego is a doll. The food is divine and it's hard to believe you're getting a flamenco show THAT incredible without paying for it. This will always be one of my favorite spots.
Food was great, I love their paella. The service was good, I just wish the restaurant stayed open a bit later as I was having a great time and would've liked to stay longer.
Great experience. Great service. Thanks Maribel for your hard work there. We all enjoyed ourselves. NOLITA was awesome. Food was awesome.
The food is fantastic. The service is great. We were there on a night when a large party that took up most of the restaurant was having a retirement dinner. They turned the music down and started giving long speeches. It was very strange and awkward.
The original plan was brunch, but we ended up ordering tapas and paella instead. Both the food and service were on point. Definitely save room for dessert—the warm cheesecake is excellent. We were a party of five, and the bill came out to about $100 per person, which felt reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. The menu does list a bottomless brunch option, though we didn't try it this time. Overall, a solid dining experience with great food, especially the desserts.
Excellent food, the flavor, the quantity and the quality of the meal was outstanding. I had the red sangria, right on point. The service was super excellent I'll give a 10/10 for everything
I love the energy of this place – the music and flamenco dancing gave the evening a party vibe! I felt like I was with my Puerto Rican family. I will definitely return to try more dishes and to bring my family. The croquetas and chorizo tapas were delicious! The spicy margarita was so refreshing and delicious! Service was well-timed and friendly, the owner came over to us as we were leaving to ask us how everything was. For NYC it was very affordable!

The overall atmosphere and food were really good. The seafood paella was one of the best. We went on a Tuesday so we were lucky to see the flamenco show as well.
The service though wasn’t great. We felt like the waiter was trying to push us order more food even though we told him we were not very hungry. He claimed that we ordered food for two and at the end it was still good amount for 3-4 people.
We are used to not so great service in NYC but he was extra rude and visible upset with us, which disturbed even my kids.
It spoiled a great experience and a possible 5 star rating.

I had an amazing experience at this paella bar. The moment I walked in, the place smelled incredible—saffron, garlic, and fresh seafood drifting through the air. The staff were friendly, attentive, and clearly proud of what they serve. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients. The atmosphere is cozy but lively, making it a great spot for a date, family dinner, or just grabbing a drink and a tapa. I’ll definitely be coming back—easily one of the best paellas I’ve had outside of Spain.
The Spanish food tastes authentic, the paella has the perfect socarrat, the rice is cooked beautifully, and the seafood is fresh. We also tried the croquettes and the Spanish tortilla, both full of flavor and nicely presented.
The atmosphere is cozy, great music, and the service is attentive without being pushy. The staff explained each dish and recommended wines that paired perfectly with our meal.
Great spot for a date night or dinner with friends. Definitely coming back. A true gem in New York for anyone who loves Spanish cuisine.
