Very good food, excellent service, I recommend it, it is a good option if you want to eat Spanish cuisine. We went for tapas, the Galician-style octopus was tasty, as were the chorizo croquettes and the cauliflower. The dessert could not be missing the churros with chocolate and the torrija.

Octopus not bad, paella was great when it’s hot, have to eat fast before it gets cold. A bit salty.

Socarrat specializes in paella. Though we went specifically for that reason, we actually liked our appetizers better. Bacon wrapped dates with blue cheese had a great balance of flavor. The crispy brussel sprouts were absolutely delicious. Now, for the paella... it was good, but not great. We are used to a golden paella with saffron, which we absolutely love. This was a more tomato, pepper based paella which was quite garlicky and good, but not the paella we know and love. So,we were a bit disappointed, but it was still a good experience. Service was friendly, space was tight but convivial.Kid-friendliness: Very easy going with our kid.

The paellas I’ve had at Socarrat are definitely among the best I’ve had, but what makes this restaurant truly shine are the tapas. We came here during a work event, and our table ordered many tapas. Each one was memorably delicious! The atmosphere and service were both really fantastic

We ordered three tapas plates without realizing they had a prix fixe group menu, which included all three of the tapas we originally ordered. I asked if we could get the group menu ( 5 tapas and two paellas) and just get two more of the tapas choices and continue from there. The server said they could do that. Instead they brought five more tapas , including once again the three tapas we originally ordered, and two new ones, then the two paellas. We were charged for the original three tapas and then the group menu as well. It was way too much food and too much money, and ruined my dining experience.

The paella was excellent and the service and ambience were both top notch. Only complaint was the noise level. We were on the main floor and a table of 8 sat next to us and they were extremely loud. Not sure this is the fault of the restaurant but it did make it tough to have a conversation at our table.

I had this place on a list of places to try. I was there for happy hour and this is what I found.Food was delicious. It lacks ambience on the first floor. Too much bright light from the white wooded ceiling that makes it feel like a cafeteria. I looked at the second floor and it was wayyy better.

Tapas and paella are the name of the game here backed with a great wine list and tip-top service make this a great place for a date night or with a big group so you can share the paella. You'll be taking some leftovers home as the portions are huge!

I have been to Spain several times...one of my favorite Countries. One reason is the people..the other the food. If I close my eyes while eating at Socarrat, I could imagine being in Valencia. The paella is amazing, and last night I had the torrija caramelizada-so delicious!

We had an AMAZING meal at Socarrat last night. The Pan con Tomate, Croquettas, and Patatas Bravas were to die for and the Seafood and Carne Paella were beyond flavorful. Do yourselves a favor and check out the cozy and charming legit Spanish restaurant.
