Great food! Had some vegan pancakes that were delicious. A bit on the pricey side

I wanted to give this place a 5 star. It is so beautiful and cool. The service was also great. However the food was really bad. For the first time in my life I couldn’t eat a grilled cheese sandwich. There was some sort of horseradish mayo in it ( or so I hope ) that made it inedible. I was so excited to know they have peetes pies. It was the last piece though, our sweet waiter said. We said ok. But then, from the kitchen comes a plate with a blob of leftover pie. And we were charged for it. Im not even sure how they didn’t get embarrassed to put that on our table. I am giving 3 stars because I do believe that if you change the menu to a regular diner, with normal grilled cheese and fixings, there is great potential for this place. A lot of effort was put into its decor. And the place OUTSIDE was busy bc there is a club at Soho Grand. Just switch the kitchen staff and start over, guys

Very upscale retro dinner! I give the atmosphere 5 Stars! However it’s very pricy! We got a slice of chocolate cake for late night dessert, one chocolate milk, and a bottle of sparkling water. It’s almost $40 after tax without tips. And cake seems to be very legit American style. But not my favorite. Overall, you are really here for the vibe.

Nice diner for your traditional American dishes. Food quality is good and staff is friendly. A bit pricey in my opinion, but the atmosphere made it work.

Steak and eggs cooked to perfection with an excellent chimichurri sauce (full of flavor but not unbalanced with too much acidity or garlic bite). The steak didn’t even need cutting against the grain and the scrambled eggs were the lightest, fluffiest I have eaten in ages! The granola bowl had less yogurt than expected, but it, too, was expertly prepared with the right mix of granola, fruit, and yogurt - definitely didn’t use yogurt as a “filler” at the expense of the fruits and grains!Turmeric blended coffee drink was also fabulous for my wife.I suspect whatever one orders would be as good as it sounds! The folks working were simply delightful, attentive, and pleasant.Great (but slightly limited) FREE jukebox selection as well.We were there while it wasn’t particularly busy, but I get the sense the service and food quality holds up even when they are slammed with a full house.SIX STARS!

Although it's written "24 hours" in windows and signs, it's not true. Food and people working there are fine.

Worth the visit if you like real old fashioned diners even though it is part of the diner revival trend. Not old (some real old ones unfortunately closed in NYC) but we like the design and care given to the place.Like in an old movie!Located in SoHo next to the Grant hotel (a door accesses one to the other)Waiters are efficient but could be a little more agreable. Food and beverages are good and fresh. Coffee too acid for my taste.Bathrooms a bit dark.Prices too high.Very photogenic though the light is a little too orangey. My opinion!Worth going…Kid-friendliness: Oui

Restaurant decorated in the style of a classic diner and therefore a cool place to dine. There are a few vegetarian dishes. We waited quite a long time for the food, but the quality and price were reasonable. The unisex toilets may be politically correct, but they are not very comfortable for women.

I rated it a 3 overall because the waitress kept addressing me as 'sir,' which made me uncomfortable. It's not polite to assume someone's age like that. Using terms like 'gentleman,' 'honey,' or 'dear' would have been more appropriate. The food was good, and the prices were actually cheaper than most places in Soho. However, the expectation for exorbitant tipping in NY needs to change. Being upper middle class doesn't mean I'm willing to over-tip.

Don’t come here. Hostess Arlene was rude and a liar. Food was ok, server was great but i wouldn’t come here again because of the hostess. She had glasses at worked easter morning at 11:20am. Go some place elsewhere that cares about customer experience / service.

It has a very old school look to it which to me is very appealing... it took me back to the 60's/70's although I was born in the 80s. ?. The food, however, was not as good as I'd hoped. My daughter suggested we go there... it was kind of a letdown. A lot of the things they advertise are just those advertisements because they are not on the menu. The best thing on that menu is the waffles and the zucchini chips or whatever that's called. Elsewise, the fried chicken was off, and other things just tasted mediocre. I was disappointed again, yet again, unfortunately.

More of a restaurant cosplaying as a diner than a true NY diner. Meaning the menus limited and it’s more expensive than a true diner, but the food was very good the the atmosphere was solid.
