I removed a negative review based entirely on taste a few years ago. However, I didn't realize my honest review would mean this baker would completely ignore me. I understand her feelings were hurt, but I was brutally honest. The cake was beautiful, but the red velvet tasted like cardboard. We threw the whole cake out. I wanted to use her again and try a different flavor but no. Most businesses will try to correct their mistakes but not this one. I'm sure the other flavors are nice, but I wouldn't recommend the red velvet.

We hired her to create a custom Paw Patrol themed birthday cake for my son's 5th birthday party. She was extremely easy to work with and very responsive via e-mail. We asked for her suggestions regarding the design and she was able to give us multiple options. We made changes to the order several times and she was always extremely accommodating. The day of the party, the cake was delivered right on time and, as you can see from the picture, it was literally a work of art. The cake was a showstopper and just about every parent wanted to know who made it. The most magical moment was when my son saw his birthday cake.....his little eyes got as big as pancakes and he said "WOW!"If you are willing to pay for it, SOMA can make a cake for any occasion. These cakes are like works of art. In fact, the cake was so beautiful, we ALMOST didn't want to slice it! But when we did it was absolutely delicious! I would highly recommend SOMA!

Cakes were awesome. The owner Hiroyo is the sweetest but her partner is Rude and Nasty and greedy when communicating on the phone and emails. And doesn’t let you talk to the owner Hiroyo. Insists on talking to her and not the owner. Does not know how to conduct herself in business. Don’t think I will be going back. And mind you I have done cakes there for about 2 years. Never again.

SOMA Cakes came through after our original cake vendor stopped responding due to lack of staffing during the pandemic. SOMA was very professional and easy to work with - Not only that the wedding cake that was created was absolutely GORGEOUS!! It exceeded our expectations and we absolutely loved it!

I recently sampled their cupcakes...red velvet, chocolate and pretty in pink. They are the BEST cupcakes I have ever tasted!!! I'm actually pretty picky when it comes to cakes...and theirs were impeccably good! Light, fluffy, moist, just perfect level of sweetness and beautiful flavors. I can't wait to order a larger custom cakes from them!!! Absolutely recommended.
