I had food delivered. The cheese empanada was v good. The Cuban press sandwich was a huge disappointment; the bread was neither crisp or crunchy. Delivery came earlier than projected, EXCEPT no one phoned me to say it was coming earlier, nor that it was already in reception/front desk.

Sophie’s Cuban at Bryant Park is an absolute gem! The incredibly flavorful dishes makes every visit feels like a mini getaway to Cuba. My all-time favorite meal is the shredded beef (ropa vieja) with black beans, yellow rice, and sweet plantains—each bite is packed with authentic, savory goodness. The beef is tender, the rice is perfectly seasoned, and the caramelized plantains add just the right touch of sweetness.

And let’s talk about their chicken empanadas—don’t be fooled, these are NOT your average empanadas! The flaky, golden crust gives way to juicy, well-seasoned chicken that sets Sophie’s apart from any other chain. It’s clear they put love and tradition into every dish.

Whether you’re craving classic Cuban comfort food or just discovering the cuisine, Sophie’s never disappoints. The Bryant Park location is convenient, the service is friendly, and the flavors are unforgettable. Highly, highly recommend!

Stopped by Sophie’s Cuban Cuisine and were seriously impressed. We had the Pernil with a twist and Sophie’s Salmon — both were incredibly fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The pernil was tender and juicy, and the salmon was perfectly cooked with bold, vibrant seasoning.

What really stood out was how fast everything came out without sacrificing quality. Perfect for a quick, delicious lunch, but the food is so good it absolutely works for dinner too.

I’ve been buying from this place for several years. This is my go to place for Latin food. Their food is awesome. Im being of Latin descent, the food is Delicious. I recommend this place to everyone that I know.

The prices have gone up and the sandwiches have gotten smaller. Also, they went from having squeeze bottles of green sauce to charging 50 cents for the tiniest amount. Cmon guys, be cool

I haven’t physically been to this location. I usually order delivery. The food is always delicious, hot and enough for 2 people to eat and be full. This is my go-to order place.
