Always great food and service here. The frozen espresso martinis are so good and the truffle pizza is to die for!
It was my first time at Sotto 13 but I plan to go back very soon. The service, wine and food were all excellent. We wanted to 'adjustments' made to our selections, and the restaurant very graciously accommodated us.
I had high hopes for this place as I had been there quite a few years ago and recall enjoying it. Unfortunately, my experience this time was disappointing overall. While the ambiance (great light in the back) and service were great (thanks Maria!), the food fell extremely short. The roasted octopus appetizer felt undercooked - almost like it had a soggy outer skin. Thankfully it wasnt chewy (a common octopus pitfall) but it definitely needed a quick flash under the broiler to crisp it up and give it a better texture. The watermelon salad was hardly that - more like an overdressed mesclun salad with a a few very small pieces of watermelon and feta ontop. The leaves were very soggy and the taste of vinegar was overpowering. Tuna and Beef Tartare were standard - nothing to rave about. Perhaps we didn't choose the standouts but in a menu that's relatively small, and a price point this high, Ii am of the opinion that all of it should standout. In a city that does italian so well, I wouldn't risk another visit and $250 bill *for 4 ppl, only 2 drinks and no entrees, all appetizers/salads*
The restaurant ambience and service was very good. The food was not. Two dinners were ordered the salmon wrapped in zucchini slices. The salmon not cooked enough and there was a crème sauce which made no sense with salmon. It was difficult to eat after two bites. Crème sauce was a no go and fish not cooked enough. The other dinner was a fried pork chop with roasted potatoes. No green vegetable served with pork chop to break up the taste. The pork chop was very bland no taste, no seasoning beyond boring to eat and a huge portion that was a waste of food. The potatoes were good. Very disappointing food experience.
I came here for a birthday dinner with 9 friends on a Saturday. We were seated in the center of the back room under a beautiful skylight that really set the ambiance for the night. Food tasted fresh and above average especially for the cost. Wait staff was a little absent at times for a slow night but wasn't detrimental to the experience. I'd definitely dine here again.
This restaurant is a hidden gem in Greenwich/West Village with some of the best Italian food in NYC! And that's saying a lot! It has an incredibly innovative menu. And great wines and cocktails. My daughter is vegan and the vegan cheese on her pizza was amazing. I felt it was a good value as well.
Great food and service, went with some friends and the entire staff made the birthday dinner special.
This was such a great place for a chill birthday gathering. I arrived birthday my friends and the bartender made a point to ask me if I was there for a special occasion and upon hearing it was for a birthday, got us the best table for our party to make it even more special for our group! All of the staff were beyond courteous and all the food and drinks were great. Would highly recommend
Sotto 13 combines the elegance of fine service and the pleasure of excellent food with the coziness and charm of a neighborhood restaurant. One of my absolute faves in the Chelsea-North Village area.
From the moment we walked in, to the way out the door the management, servers, waiter, busboys made the experience fantastic....and the food, well, that was another amazing part! Looking forward to returning!

I've been here multiple times and love the food, but the service was so bad (we had to ask for water 5 or 6 times) I'm not sure I'd recommend it or go back. I was there for a work dinner and I definitely will not be going back for a business dinner ever again.
This is our go to when in the neighborhood for events. It is reliable , the food is good, and service very friendly.
Awesome vibes. Alessandro the manager was very welcoming. The Neapolitan style pizza was outstanding very flavourful. I strongly recommend the tartufo royal!!! The tuna tartare as well, the tuna, you can tell was really fresh, mixed with the avocado was a great combination and the stuffed eggplant felt like being in Puglia. At the end the bomboloni and the limoncello was a must. The espresso was also the happy ending of this outstanding meal. Keep it up ;)
We have been here celebrating my wife birthday, we had an amazing experience. Service was on point, and the food was terrific. Definitely recommended to try the lobster tagliolini and the crema mediterranea. We felt like we have been back to Tuscany.
Ate there last night. Drinks and food were not what we ordered and were not good at all Used to eat here quite a bit, but last night's dinner was a disaster. Terrible all around
